Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory | games | -1 | What's the catch? | Is it like America's Army where it's practically useless unless you sign up for an account (and have to sign in online each time to play) and have highspeed internet access? Is it LAN'able? | 2003-04-28 02:04:02 | 0

Pingus | games | -1 | Re: Tried it but... | Hm, hadn't any crashes in the game itself for a long long time. The editor is known to still contain a handfull of bugs, but I haven't found them in the game itself nor did I get any reports about crashes. Might be that the OpenGL support is causing all the throuble, it is known to be buggy and ugly and won't get fixed in the near future, so if you want to do debugging, disable OpenGL stuff first. Same about the memory leaks, I don't think that there are any huger memory leaks left Pingus, at least none that you would notice all that easily, might again be the OpenGL stuff. After all there was a reason that it is disabled by default. | 2003-04-28 08:15:20 | 10790
AKICHAN | games | -1 | You sir, are very inappropriate. | ...the FUD around here is so thick and disgusting There is no FUD here. FUD are manipulative half-truths meant to provoke fear, uncertainty, and doubt. That's not what you're reading about. You're reading opinion. Opinions to which you may not agree, but opinion nonetheless. If you want respect for your Disney-esque view of the world, then you must equally respect all the opinions of others; including those with whom you disagree. Namecalling, such as you've done, is quite disrespectful. | 2003-04-28 08:26:24 | 10803
AKICHAN | games | -1 | Kill the seals in Windows. | Let's see... hmmmmm title on this page: "The Linux Game Tome". All files on the site pointed to by the parent? Zipped exe's - Windows files. Seems to me the post isn't just off-topic, but off OS. Political statements are fine, but if the poster is not supporting the OS to which the site is dedicated; the post should be summarily deleted. Deleting his post is not censorship, but an act of editorial freedom. Do your job, editors! And to the poster, port "Gewt" to Linux as native and someone will be interested! | 2003-04-28 08:28:35 | 6052
Eternal Lands | games | -1 | Hardware Acceleration | Well this game looks great and the engine too. But it wont play hardware accelerated on a geforce4. To play software accelerated at 1 fps on a p4 1.8 with a geforce4 is sad. Really sad. nenminel at hotmail if you want more infos on this problem. Keep up the good work ! Seems great, even at 1fps :D | 2003-04-28 10:10:53 | 0
