10775 Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory games -1 Re: Can't play : can't create profile OK now it works, but it is awfully slow on my Athlon XP 2000, and I can't connect any server :( 2003-04-27 04:56:51 10747
10776 Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory games -1 Re: Hmm On WinXP, it runs about 25 FPS in 640x480, but on my Mandrake 9.1 on the same machine it goes faster, in an even higher resolution. Something must be wrong with your Linux. 2003-04-27 06:16:44 10763

10778 Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory games 6879 Fun It's a fun game. I am suprised they are going to release the full version for free. With 5 more maps, it would definetely be worth at least $20 to me. 2003-04-27 06:40:33 0
10779 3660 news -1 Re: This probably counts as trolling, bu which counts as spare time :) If it was their job, they should at least work 10 hours a day :-) 2003-04-27 06:42:48 10777
10780 3660 news 5676 Re: rules? Well they want a logo that will go everywhere, so obviously making one as a 200x200 pixel gif won't look too good when blown up right. In fact it won't look any good full stop :) You need to make it BIG and probably a PNG or TIFF. It's common too to create logos using vector based drawing packages. Don't ask me what to use under Linux as I don't know but apparently StarOffice/OpenOffice.org have a Draw program that could be useful. Maybe you know something better.

As regards it's shape and content that is up to the designer I guess. It could be square, oblong, circular who knows. One thing that I would consider though is that Angry Pixels will be releasing their projects on multi platforms, so submitting 1000s of Tux inspired logos might turn out to be a futile exercise.

For inspiration see what logos other companies have. Some logos relate to the company name and some are completely abstract. I saw a logo for PyGame yesterday and this looked cool. It's just some text with a python eating a joystick, but it's very colourful and fits the job well.

Regards,
simcon 2003-04-27 07:29:38 10774
10781 AKICHAN games -1 Re: AKICHAN Plus painting the seals green is very stupid. This actually happens. While the fur trader won't kill them, the wolves will. Seals are white for a reason. 2003-04-27 08:02:24 10687
10784 Majesty games 5676 No Troll I'm sorry if I appear to be 'trolling' but it is unintentional. I am mostly positive but I just wanted to explain what happens to big boxes that travel thousands of miles :D I am right in wanting to keep the box yes? Good so stfu :p hehe 2003-04-27 09:34:00 10752
