I personally used MSSQL server and it has the most horrible load handling performance ever. Its SLOW as a SNAIL it certainly cant handle our half-mil hit without clustering it in huge numbers. Posgresql handles all the hits i can throuw at it for free without breaking down or slowing down. MSSQL is a sorry expensive excuse for a database. Its a fact.. you need 5 window boxes to handle the load of 1 linux box.. sorry but thats the way it is and thats the way MS likes it.. the more licenses they can sell the better. Our IT deparment could not handle our load with their windows "cluster" so I bought 1 dedicated Linux box moved everything there.
