3655 | news | -1 | The Windows version sucked | I downloaded the Windows version and it sucked. The gameplay was labored, and the framerate was quite poor even on an 1.8g cpu and NVidia GF card. Medal Of Honor Allied Assault kicked butt in comparison on same system when I only had a Duron 900 - it has smooth fast gfx and great gameplay. Perhaps port that instead?<BR><BR> <A href="http://www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com/">http://www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com/</a> | 2003-04-24 05:33:51 | 0
3655 | news | -1 | it's actually a fun game!! | How many of you have even tried it?? It really doesn't have much actual propaganda (it just says "Army" everywhere). It's one of my favorite games to play in Windows right now. The gameplay is very slow and it has a steep learning curve, but once you get into it, it's like a hardcore flight sim meeting Quake. I'm pretty anti-American, but no matter how much I hate the Army, it won't stop me from playing a great game, no matter who makes it. | 2003-04-24 06:00:05 | 0

Celestia | games | -1 | This simulation is not as good as | Another free Space Flight Simulator, Orbiter by Martin Schweiger of University College London. <A HREF="http://www.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/~martins/orbit/orbit.html">http://www.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/~martins/orbit/orbit.html</A> http://www.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/~martins/orbit/orbit.html ORBITER is a free flight simulator that goes beyond the confines of Earth's atmosphere. Launch the Space Shuttle from Kennedy Space Center to deploy a satellite, rendezvous with the International Space Station or build your own custom station in orbit, or take the futuristic Delta-glider for a tour through the solar system - the choice is yours. But make no mistake - ORBITER is not a space shooter. | 2003-04-24 06:44:56 | 0
Vendetta | games | -1 | Great ame | Now that Version 3.2 has been released, this game far surpasses any competition on any of the three available platforms. It' s active user base, attentive developers, advanced graphics and intuitive gameplay make it one of the best games I've ever played. With more than 14 sectors to play in, a persistant universe, more than a half-dozen highly detailed ships available to everyone (not to mention the special ships) and weapons for all tastes, you really can't beat it. Installs smoothly on every Linux system I've tried and plays well over any connection speed. This game I highly reccommend to any Linux, Windows or Mac OS X gamers that happen to read my little review. Enjoy your fragging! | 2003-04-24 07:47:53 | 0
3655 | news | -1 | Re: Using the money... | never mind the fact that saddam would have killed more people that we had killed had he been left in power. never mind the fact that iraqis now have freedom and an improved quality of life, which in turn will result in fewer of them dying from lack of medical attention or improper nutrition. never mind the fact that we didn't colonize france, germany, or japan, and that we didn't steal their natural resources. This obviously must be a departure from our track record of bringing freedom and prosperity to the world, right? We lost money invading iraq. It's amazing how some people will refuse to see the obvious even if it slaps them in the face. | 2003-04-24 07:51:23 | 10634
