10562 Feuerkraft games 506 Re: pretty darn good Feuerkraft is currently still very far from being a playable game, its just a drive demo, meaning you can drive around and shoot, nothing else. Buildings will explode and there will be some nifty effects, but no enemies that shoot back, no missions, nothing and the map isn't all that large. The this thing will probally be fun for five minutes or so, not more. 2003-04-20 07:52:24 10561

10565 Pingus games 506 Re: a few questions The traditional Lemmings behaviour was to not release a blocker at all, the only way was to blow it appart or remove the ground below it. Well but people also complained about that, since it was the only action that wasn't 'overwritable' by another action. I agree that the current Pingus behaviour is a bit weird and it might get changed a bit (either back to traditional Lemmings or by introducing a 'Walker' action), but in general, thats how it is. Pingus is a puzzle game and you have to figure out how to make it to the exit with the stuff you have, saving 100% isn't always possible and never will be. 2003-04-20 10:01:57 10557
10566 Pingus games -1 Re: a few questions I'll see if I ever go back to playing it, after all that's the way you see if a game is great or not.
As for the "not always finishable", it is ok as long as it is not an excuse for unneeded frustration.
I love action/puzzle games since lode runner anyway.
2003-04-20 10:24:18 10565

10568 Pingus games -1 Re: a few questions There's nothing stopping you from blowing the remaining blockers apart using Armageddon. Another option would be to let the level end if there are only blockers around. If you've got actions left to rescue them, you'll have to do it before all other Pingus are gone. Anyway, Pingus is still in an early phase of development, there aren't many levels yet. That means it's quite easy to change some parts of the behaviour without breaking anything. It just depends on people wanting it and wheter you've got convincing arguments for it. 2003-04-20 11:26:16 10557
10569 PlaneShift games -1 Planeshift hates Linux If you're running windows, you should have no problem running the tech demo. If you're a linux user, don't think for one second this project is going to be a reality for most of you. Some of the lead developers think Windows is the only useful platform for games, and it shows in their code. 2003-04-20 12:01:38 0
