10552 Pingus games -1 Need the guufy lemmings It's the same, but I fore once need the same gufy chareters, with the same gufy hair style. Also known as the lemmings. So i wonder, is it possible to make the game (the charecteres) skinable so it would look as a lemming? Just a lemming fanatic speaking!!! Played it in 1990 and still plays it on an amiga emulator :-) Anybody knows of a simular project, but with the humans? First it was dawn, then it was night, then dawn, then night, some rain and it rain. And other ther stuff i can't rememner! 2003-04-19 17:04:37 0

10554 NingPo Mah Jong games -1 Re: Mahjong Oh. Now I understand your point better. Very good point. Perhaps this site should come up with a "Wishlist". I, personally, would spend $50 for a "commercial quality" grade RPG game. How about you make that suggestion to the webmaster of this site? Regards, Trode 2003-04-19 19:09:31 10551
10555 Cedega (WineX) games -1 Re: Your ignorant bias is showing.... Let me clue you in on a little something:

http://us.infogrames.com/games/moo3/

They don't support it. They don't care to support it. In fact, do a search on their site, and you'll find that they don't even mention Linux. If they wanted to reach Linux gamers, they would have did a native port and said that they officially support it.

They didn't port it, b/c they don't believe it would have been worth their while, and they are probably right. The Linux gamer market is tiny in comparison to the Windows market, and how in the hell are they going to justify the costs of a port?

You fail to understand that without games, there will be no gamers, and without gamers, there will be no games.. There aren't many companies like Id around that do 'sympathy' ports because they are run by pro-Linux people.. Companies exist to make money. I'm shocked that you people don't 'get' it. To break this Microsoft monopoly thing, we must have an ace in the hole.

Unless you have a better solution to allowing people to game under Linux while no companies are interested in losing money on porting, I suggest you shut the hell up.

2003-04-19 19:37:52 10533
10556 Feuerkraft games -1 Looks very promising I just played the static-compiled demo and I think it's great. This game has a lot of potential, if only its author would develop (and/or release) it more often. Best regards, Tadej 2003-04-20 02:00:01 0
10557 Pingus games -1 Re: a few questions i did change my way of playing and i just dont like it.
At least, I wish i could release blockers using a block action.
There was a situation where to release a blocker i had to use a bridger: that make no sense and it isnt fun. It makes the game not so much a "use the engine of the game to solve the puzzle" game but a "fight against the engine of the game to solve the puzzle" game, if you see what i mean. It's probably fun to most people, but i find frustrating to take into account absurd limitations of the game engine in order to solve a puzzle.
2003-04-20 06:29:27 10546
10558 Feuerkraft games -1 Cool I think the game looks very promising, but sound (positional stereo/surround) would enhance it enormously. I tried the game with alsa, so for all I know it might have sound allready :) The game looked crappy in the screenshots but for some reason I tested the precompiled binary and were quite surprised with the status of this game. It's smooth and generally have a cool touch to it. Especially I think the use of conceptual art in the actual game was quite cool, giving the game a little cartoon-like look. 2003-04-20 07:27:50 0
10559 PlaneShift games -1 Won't work Won't work on Mandrake 9.1. Make it statically linked. Would work on a lot more machines, then. Bye for now... 2003-04-20 07:32:14 0

10561 Feuerkraft games -1 Re: pretty darn good Looking at the screenshots, and the names of the earliest releases, it looks like this game was heavily influenced by an old Amiga(/Atari ST) game, Firepower. Definetely not a bad thing. For that reason I have decided NOT to try the game out until I have some spare time... I have lost far too many hours by just "testing" a game or two :) 2003-04-20 07:49:00 5170
