10386 Pingus games 5676 Lovely I powered this game up and started the story and was told that the council of the elders had chosen ME to lead them :s Shit I can't cope with all this responsibility.

Yes this is now very nice indeed :D Plays great, music and graphics are great, what more can I say. BTW who did the music? It's very appropriate and sort of 'quest like'.

Regards,
simcon 2003-04-16 08:44:34 0
10387 Pingus games -1 Re: Hugely improved! I don't see a message with a list of grammatical errors on the mailing list yet. If you'd send one we could fix them in the CVS version to make the next release even better... 2003-04-16 08:46:02 10364
10388 Fall games 1923 Re: mmm That's what the GPL is all about: Giving somebody else the chance to reuse your work for his own (free) projects. Nothing immoral about that. 2003-04-16 09:31:54 10365
10389 Duke Nukem 3d games 1923 Re: Duke Nukem 3d Who cares about aspect ratio? As long as the game window covers the entire screen it's gonna look fine, no matter what resolution you use. The original DOS version also provided 640x480 and 800x600 screen resolutions. 2003-04-16 09:44:40 10265
10390 Pingus games 704 The Pingus we've all been waiting for For some time it looked as if this was never going to be finished... ... but now the Pingus developers have proven me wrong. Damn them. Now I just can't have enough !!! Great job!!!!!!!!! 2003-04-16 09:54:55 0
10391 Pingus games -1 Re: Lovely Most music in this release was done by Joseph Toscano, who also did the amazing soundtrack for Adonthell. H. Matthew Smith and Yuri Sucupira did also create some additional music for the game, but most of them isn't used in this release. 2003-04-16 10:02:58 10386
10392 PlaneShift games -1 Re: Planeshift License random comments:

about the spoiler thing, there will always be people trying to do that. obscurity doesnt solve anything. and why do you care about them ?

I know many artists, musicians, etc, who would love to have other people re-using their creations, assuming proper credit is given

about the engine vs game thing. that means your engine is free as in beer and speech. your game is not.

now for those who want to troll:
To me, a project that only puts source on cvs without many instructions, without including a nice up2date package for it, with very closed team (anyone noticed all the requirements for someone who would want to join ?), with only rpms for linux (yes, I know, that is no longer the case, but still), etc ... is a closed source project... well definitively not a totally free one. 2003-04-16 10:10:41 10368
10393 Freedroid RPG games 6077 Re: Looking good (bug) Thanks for trying out FreedroidRPG. Thanks for the bug report. That really *is* a bug, and it's fixed in cvs now and will be fixed in release 0.9.4 to come. But if you do not wish to wait until release or not download it all again, you might copy all the jpg files from freedroidRPG-0.9.3/graphics/rotation_models/portraits to the installation directory of freedroidRPG on your system, most likely that will mean to /usr/local/share/freedroidRPG-0.9.3/graphics/rotation_models/portraits. That should fix the problem. The files are all there in the package. The thing is that they just don't get installed correctly, very dumb, I know... But I hope that helps. See ya, jp. 2003-04-16 10:15:44 10372
