10148 WineX Game Manager games -1 Re: Its Is Free It used to be just an apt-get away in debian, but those Transgaming people don't like the GPL when it gets in the way of there making money so they complained til it got removed.. It's still a god point though. You don't need to buy Winex. You can just grab it through cvs. At the same time if you can afford it, I would buy it. Supporting opensource projects is always a good thing. The sooner wine becomes stable the sooner we can all completely ditch windows. 2003-04-07 13:41:18 10089

10150 Enigma games -1 Re: A Hint I think the real hint that would make much more sense is that you learn more than just pushing and "pulling". I fought with this level for over 30 minutes before I realized what those circly stones did. 2003-04-07 14:32:41 9043
10151 Enigma games -1 Re: how the hell The magic wand is for magic. Try having it in front of your inventory (right clicking should get it there) and start bumping into things. 2003-04-07 14:35:21 8934

10154 Duke Nukem 3d games -1 Sound and mouse issues When I enable sound in duke3d.cfg (by setting the Music and Sound device to "0" instead of "13", for example), the game stops on this:

Checking music inits.
Checking sound inits.

Another thing: whatever I set in the .cfg file about mouse (mouse-aiming and so one), not only the game doesn't take it, but it's overwriting the config-file with the old settings.

An idea, someone? ;p 2003-04-07 17:05:03 0
10155 Neverwinter Nights Client games -1 The game is slow, as slow as Mesa! Hello, here is the low down on my system....

* Athlon XP 1400Mhz (1600+)
* 512MB Kingmax DDR 266Mhz (2100)
* 40GB Western Digital HD
* Geforce 2 GTS 64MB

Okay, so here is my question....
Why does the linux client beta 4 run so horrible on my PC? Everything else runs smoothly, including quake 3. It's so choppy, almost as choppy as games that use the Mesa lib!
If you think it might be distro specific, i'll list a few details....

* Distro is Crux 1.1 (www.crux.nu)
* using glibc 2.3.2
* with Xfree 4.3.0
* latest Nvidia drivers installed (4398 something, I forgot the exact number)
* Installed NWN on windows, then patched it to the latest version, then copied over required files to linux parition.

If you could please suggest something that might help, I would be very apprecietive. 2003-04-07 20:57:55 0
10156 Neverwinter Nights Client games -1 Re: The game is slow, as slow as Mesa! What color depth are you running? I was using 16 bit and it ran bad, but switching to 24 bit color really made it run great. 2003-04-07 21:21:54 10155
