Trackballs games -1 Nicely Done I like the game, and it is verry nice to play: But there are still some flaws: - Using the mouse in the menu - Then using Keyboard in the game ---> can result in a ball that continuesly runs in one direction 2003-04-04 05:34:19 0
Eternal Lands games -1 Way to go! I like the graphics and world engine a lot, they sure look promising. Keep up the good work, and simply ignore the most annoying comments ;) 2003-04-04 05:34:57 0
WineX Game Manager games -1 Re: WineX >>"That said, did Transgaming get 20,000 users (the magic number for full code release)." <P>>"They got the 20,000? So why do we still have to pay? Where's the full source then?"<P> <P>"did Transgaming get 20,000 users" not "Transgaming has 20,000 users". It was a question. 2003-04-04 06:00:19 9983
WineX Game Manager games -1 Re: WineX "Many companies"? I've heard of Wizardry 8 not getting a port because of that. <P>Most of the other games are not ported due to a staggering lack of interest in the number of people who buy games. <P>Of the people you personally know, outside the Internet, what percentage of those who _buy_ games _buy_ Linux games? <P>My personal calculation is 0%, so I'm working on getting more linux users first. More users, more game-players, more game players, more demand for games under Linux, more demand for games under Linux, more ports. Everyone that I know who uses Linux doesn't play games (besides the small desktop games when bored). 2003-04-04 06:08:42 9170
Doom games -1 Re: Doom Incase you havent noticed already, there are alternitive doom engines for linux that support OpenGL, 3d models, and hi-resolution textures. 2003-04-04 07:09:40 3134
Eternal Lands games -1 Yikes There is so much negativity about this game, especially about the license issue (I just got done reading the other posts) that I'm afraid I can't bring myself to try it out. It does look interesting, but if it causes this much of a stir, there has to be something wrong. 2003-04-04 13:17:19 0
XWelltris games 5676 Music Actually I think music is unnecessary for many Linux games as support for playing user's mp3s/oggs is much nicer. The user can then pick something to play that they feel fits with the game :) Of course this could be applied to Frozen Bubble too even though the music quality is better than most commercial outfits can muster. There will be situations I am sure where playing Right Said Freds 'I'm too sexy for my shirt' is inappropriate though ;)<br> <br> Personally I would like to see games make use of third party game music like that from Total Annihilation. That game's music is awesome and at least on a par with anything John Williams can concoct. 2003-04-04 13:26:20 10056
WineX Game Manager games -1 Its Is Free WineX actually is free. All you need to do is have CVS installed on your computer, then Transgaming gives you instructions right on their site on how to use CVS to download the WineX source. Then you just compile the source, and that's that... you now have the latest version of WineX, for free. 2003-04-04 13:32:16 0
DIE games 7152 Primo! Wonderful!!! One thing the PC market has lacked for ages is a awesome console-like Twisted Metal series type game that doesn't suck. When complete, this will totally rock! Please, keep at it. Ask for help if you need it. :-) 2003-04-04 15:33:54 0
DIE games 6885 Controls! Handling! Version 0.0.10 sure <i>looks</i> better, but the control and handling sucks. In the prototype they were <i>perfect</i>.. I hope this is only temporary while switching to OGRE. 2003-04-04 15:56:58 0
