Galaxis Online is a completely free browser based massive multiplayer "turn-based" online game that crosses many different genres of games. You have the option to play different styles from a merchant trader to a murderous pirate. Each player works to strategically upgrade and build their colonies, create alliances, and make their fortune in a fight for power.
In the ever-expanding online world of Galaxis filled with systems, planets, and colonies controled by a countless number of different players you are guaranteed to experience a whole new level of gameplay.
Game features a tight player community with realtime communication and alliances. Engage in a changing market to trade goods across the galaxy, build up your colony with different structures and upgrades, purchase new ships to fill your fleet and equip them with numerous outfits and weapons as you conspire for domination. Game play is flexible which allows you to play casually for a few minutes throughout the day or hang out for hours. Rounds last up to 2 months and then reset to start over.

Galaxy is closed-ended turn based
multiplayer space strategy war game.
There are numerous variants of Galaxy
each with slighty different rules.
It exists in PBM (play by mail) and
PBEM (play be e-mail) variants. The
Galaxy PBW (play by web) project allows
Galaxy to be played on-line over the
internet. The Galaxy PBW is written
in Java. It includes custom
object-oriented Galaxy server
(similar by rules to the "Blind"
variant of Galaxy), multiplatform
graphical client, web based mail system
for exchanging the diplomatic mail,
various support scripts automating game
scheduling, creation and management.

<p>A tactical RPG is a type of role-playing game where turn-based battles are fought on a 3D map. Examples of commercial tactical RPGs include Final Fantasy Tactics, Vandal Hearts, and Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.</p>
<p>Our goal is to make GalaxyMage a game that is relatively simple to pick up and play -- you can dive right in without getting bogged down in the details of the battle mechanics -- but to also allow for a lot of character development and customization. We also intend to create a unique, advanced AI system that allows enemy units to work together as a team and employ a wide variety of strategies.</p> |

<p>Virtually there are no games (specially computer wargames) dedicated to this topic, so this project will try to close this gap in wargamers choice. The aim is to give an intuitive interface to the player, in order to manage easily the huge number of ships engaged in these battles. The command system will let to give common orders to any given number of ships, from one concrete to the entire fleet.</p>

Gnome 2 Amazons board game |
Amazons is a game played on a 10x10 chess board. Each side has four pieces (amazons) that move like chess queens (in a straight line in any direction). Instead of capturing pieces like in chess, the game is determined based on who moves last.<p>
Each move consists of two parts. First an amazon moves to a new square and then fires an arrow to another square (the arrow is fired in a straight line in any direction from the square the amazon landed on). The square the arrow lands on becomes a permenant block for the rest of the game. No one can move over it, or fire an arrow over it. Every turn an amazon must move and fire an arrow, so every turn there is one less square available on the board. Try and block in your opponent or section off a good chunk of the board for yourself. |
