T1 Car Racing Simulation | games | 7701 | Looks good to me. | Graphics are pretty - handling seems nice (although I'd like an automatic gearbox option if there isn't one already) .<p> Yes it's not really playable yet but the homepage says its unplayable, but what it does, it does quite nicely , got a good chance to become a 5 star game(instead of alpha) sometime <p> ps - Wouldn't install at first because for some odd reason my SDL.h is in user/local/include/SDL/SDL.h not hard to fix then it worked fine. | 2003-03-13 13:24:17 | 0

Race | games | 7701 | No sound | I couldn't get any sound.<p> The resourse/sound directory is empty in both the race-0.9.1-static-linux and the race-0.9.0-src and I stil got no sound when i added the sounds from Race-0.7.0-1_static-2. <p> Odd yes I did check and uncheck the sounds option and yes the music worked fine as did the sound in version 0.7. <p> Any ideas? <p> ps the binary still segfaults in the car selection menu but thats not a big deal. <p> The sound in 0.7 was ok and the gameplay in 0.9 seemed quite nice but it needs sound | 2003-03-13 14:31:42 | 0
Lopan | games | -1 | About the legal details | Activision does not own the rules to this game. They have been implemented for a good long time with or without Activision's consent by several thousand people (last I checked, there were 3000 versions of this game for Windows alone). If this is really a clone of the game, and not some sort of port of it, then it doesn't even have any of Activision's code. The only possible grouds they could have for any legal proceedings would be if their tileset was used, but that would actually be quite hard to tell, since most tilesets for this game tend to look more or less the same. Although the letter seems extremely formal and legalistic, it is clear that whoever wrote it has either not looked more closely at the structure of the game, or is just plain ignorant about copywright law. | 2003-03-13 15:07:17 | 0

Arkhart | games | 6547 | nice | very nice looking so far, but how do you get the sound working (I downloaded them from the site)? | 2003-03-13 19:38:18 | 0

FooBillard | games | -1 | Re: . | It's been done where? Has it been done this well? Did you run the game, or did you see an entry for a pool game, roll your eyes, and dash off a quick, thoughtless comment? This comment area is for people to share their opinions about the games. You insult both the game creator and everyone else in this forum when you post something like this. <p> Please understand, I am not taking issue with the rating you gave Foobillard, I am taking issue with the apparent thoughtlessness with which you did it. | 2003-03-13 20:04:39 | 9470
