Frozen Bubble games -1 Re: Never worked for me. If you check the download page of the game, you can see that it has/had binary packages for: <br> - mandrake <br> - debian <br> - redhat <br> - slackware <br> - asplinux <br> - pld linux <br> - conectiva <br> - gentoo <br> - suse <br> <br> There are even working ports for Windows and Mac OSX (even if I don't like that my software is ported to proprietary OS'es). <br> <br> Now how on earth can you pretend that the game makes assumption on the distro? That really puzzles me. <br> <br> gc 2003-02-19 10:57:18 8957
A Tale in the Desert games -1 Re: 3D card From what I read the requirements are pretty low. Give it a try. 2003-02-19 11:33:07 8909

A Tale in the Desert games 6147 One way to quit your Everquest addiction Start playing this. I used up my 24 free online hours in 3 days. I haven't played Everquest since I started playing. Unfortunatly its more expensive monthly than everquest. But you save $50 because the download is free. 2003-02-19 11:41:18 0
Frozen Bubble games 21 Works now. :) Now that I got it to run with the slackware package it works. I'm not one to use binary packages, that's why I hadn't even thought to look. I was half hoping someone would prove me wrong so that I might be able to enjoy this fine game. :) Maybe I should clarify - the make/configure scripts for frozenbubble make assumptions of how a system is laid out. I really don't like it when someone has to hack up stuff to make it work for a certain distribution. Regardless the game is nice. I appreciate the pointer. 2003-02-19 11:56:06 8959
GL-117 games -1 Written in C++, *hurl* C is faster than C++. Anyone who gives up a little performance for the conventions of C++ deserves neither performance nor easily maintainable code at all. 2003-02-19 12:21:01 0
Frozen Bubble games -1 Re: Works now. :) So the best would me that you send me patch(es) to be more distribution-laid-out-agnostic (frozen-bubble website contains contact information). <br><br> That said, some people on freebsd already contributed some fixes in the Makefile for that matter, so I'm a bit surprised, but I confess I have no knowledge in how to do "highly portable" software. <br><br> gc 2003-02-19 12:53:48 8963
Frozen Bubble games 21 Re: Works now. :) I would, but I'm no perl junkie, and the makefiles are all littered with perl. :) 2003-02-19 12:59:56 8965
Football Manager games -1 little display problem while turned sound OFF, the display when a goal is given inside the match is extremly short, too short to read. nothing to say "thats bad", but maybe something to have a look to? 2003-02-19 13:56:10 0
