xmus games -1 Boycott! No source available!<p> When you build a peice of software using a product of GNU (i GCC), you must release the source-code. Otherwise, don't use a GNU product...use Borland's C Compiler, Intel's C Compiler, or Watcom's C Compiler! Those are available on Linux.<p> Breakin' the law, break-in the law!<br> Breakin' the law, break-in the law!<br> ...(infinitum)... 2003-02-08 19:07:10 0
Race games -1 Re: Control the point is they dont handle at all like a racing car! these are the problems in the model, the cars pivot about the front wheels, the centre of gravity has no effect, this makes a power slide impossible. tyre do not give there grip on or off, there is a break point but on good tyres it is much more gradual than this. this mean you cant counter steer before the break point only after its sudden oversteer. its very hard to get right, even colin mcrae rally pivots to much about the centre of gravity at low speeds if my car handled like this i would be scared to death :) good luck with it, try to get skidmarks for the amiga, its physics engine is excellent for a top down game 2003-02-08 19:09:52 8511
King of the Hill games -1 Re: King of the Hill QBasic Gorilla!<p> I learned to code in QBASIC by looking at Gorilla! Same for Nibbles!<br> I ported Gorilla to C and did the same to Nibbles. Now the world is happy!<p> 2003-02-08 19:09:59 1047
xmus games -1 Re: Boycott! Rubbish. You violate the GPL if your project includes GPLed code, not if it's made with GPL software. If I use Emacs under X11 on a Linux machine, I don't have to publish it for free... Using a GPLed library would qualifay as a violation, but that's the reason why there's the LGPL (the Lesser GPL now, the Library GPL then...). 2003-02-08 19:57:17 8723
Raine games -1 Raine Has anybody gotten Raine to compile with SDL ? On some previous version (don't recall which one) I managed it by putting in a few #ifndef SDL ... #endif around things which broke the compile, but this time around it looks like somebody had actually started working on the SDL-specific files and committed them without even trying to compile (typos like "SLD_..." instead of "SDL_..."). So ? Any ideas ? 2003-02-09 02:24:54 0
Raine games -1 Re: roms for emulator Do a websearch for "Raine roms" or (more likely to succeed) try the newsgroups of the alt.binaries.emulators hierachy, especially misc, arcade and mame. The last one you should try because Mame and Raine both emulate quite some games which they can use each others romsets. 2003-02-09 02:28:12 8680
