The problems for me are twofold, really - having to coordinate both ball direction and camera angle, and having a bit too many keys to handle on a cramped keyboard. Mind you, this is just my personal problem; anyone that can handle the controls are in for a treat! | 2003-02-01 12:12:17 | 8551 |
Unreal Tournament 2003 | games | -1 | Re: LAN Game | I have a dedicated server up. I had to make my internal IP the default, or it would'nt make sense for the server. It will be available through the internet though, but I can only SEE the server in the "Lan" tab...sort of. When browsing the regular servers, I saw my own server, but was not available to connect. I am operating through a internal net, and has a gateway out. If that makes any sense. :) Is there any good IRC channels to meet some DB-fans for a matchup? I do rarely visit those "forums". /The Patrix_neo bot. | 2003-02-01 12:28:22 | 6642

Marble Blast | games | -1 | Re: Very nice - but... | Yes, I can see a laptop touchpad being painful. Think the game was really designed for an external mouse or trackball. | 2003-02-01 12:30:54 | 8552
Crystal Space | games | -1 | Re: GNU/Linux Planescape? | I don't care the reasons why they chose to use non-free licenses (actually I read their site, but it 's not that important, anyone can use the license they prefer, it's their game). I'm not saying there's no reason to use non-free licenses. I'm just saying this is a non-free game, I don't want anyone to believe it's free if it's not. Of course it doesn't mean the game is bad, or people should not play it. Actually it looks great. It's just that it's non-free. | 2003-02-01 13:20:27 | 8523
Crystal Space | games | -1 | Re: GNU/Linux Planescape? | You said <i>"And you should really accept other's opinions, too"</i>. WTF ? You obviously are the one who doesn't accept other's opinions. I said this game is non-free, this is a <i>fact</i>. I didn't say that it was crap or that it should be free. They do whatever they want, and currently it's non-free. No-one has to tell them what to do, and I'm not saying such a thing. So don't claim I did, you obviously don't accept people saying something is non-free when it is, <i>you</i> are the only one not accepting someone else's opinion. | 2003-02-01 13:29:24 | 8523

GL-117 | games | 4264 | Fun! | <p>This is a fun one! I suck at it (I've gotten through 2/3 of the levels in easy mode, but "Main Base" has so far stymied me-- and, anyway, I keep running into the ground), but I'm having a blast with it.</P> <p>Not a realistic flight simulator at all... indeed, it's a good thing, so that when I run into the ground my "shield" gets diminished and I bounce off. Otherwise, I'd never have gotten through the tutorials. But it's fast playing and fun. (With Quality at 1, I usually get "Perfect" FPS on my PIII-550MHz with a Radeon 7500.)</p> | 2003-02-01 13:56:13 | 0

Marble Blast | games | -1 | Re: Money? | I was more than willing to pay for the game, its excellent, very reminiscent of super monkey ball which i loved. I got the demo played for 5 minutes, then immediately went and bought the game, its that good. now if only you could use a joypad with it ... :-} | 2003-02-01 15:40:34 | 8559
