| 8543 | 3391 | news | -1 | Common You Whiners | You must think you are the only people who are interested in Neverwinter Nights. Having thier weekly update posted here saves me the wait of trying to access the nwn.bioware.com site, and I, for one, am personally still interested. As soon as it comes out I'm planning on buying it. So stop yer whining. | 2003-02-01 08:22:20 | 0 |

| 8547 | Marble Blast | games | -1 | Re: Money? | I haven't tried the demo yet, so I can't say. Have you tried it, or is this a kneejerk reaction to the fact that the author has the audacity to ask for money?
Dismissing a game out of hand because it's not free is a good way to miss out on some great games. Uplink and Mutant Storm are a couple of good examples. I don't know if Free Software fundamentalism is appropriate for games, which are more than mere tools. | 2003-02-01 10:09:28 | 8546 |

| 8550 | Marble Blast | games | -1 | Very nice - but... | This is a very neat, well polished game. I really like the cartoonish graphics and it just feels very responsive and crisp. Try the demo; it's worth the hassle.
Now on to the gripe. The controls really aren't very good. Having to manually rotate and tilt the camera is distracting, and it feels wrong to have the arrow keys for the camera, while the main controls are jumbled together among the regular keys. Trying to play on a laptop (with its somewhat cramped keyboard) just makes things worse. I sadly find myself unable to play this game to any great extent; it's a pity as it would have made a great addition to my system. | 2003-02-01 11:33:09 | 0 |
