What is irritating is that so many people seem to see a game in a medival setting or a game with character stats as RPG... Which is untrue. That game is not a Roleplaying game. The correct title for its genre is: Dungeon Crawler/Slash-n-hack which is what Diablo is as well. If you want to put it into a major genre, then it's Action. Roleplaying games require more story development since to play the role of a character, the character has evolve, not just get stronger. The released version of the game seems quite inferior to the CVS build, and both are absurdly difficult to build - at one point on my Ibook running Debian unstable I had to modify some of the code because apparently bigendian for linux is broken in endianness.cpp (or something of a similar name). Even then, vssetup refused to build on both my Ibook and my dual Athlon running Gentoo. The setup file is rather hard to understand - all of the stuff with #'s don't seem to be used. <br><br> The game-play is great, except a bit slow on my Ibook. However, there are some problems with various things. Docking is rather strange (the instructions that are given by the ships are wrong). In some cases, my ship has been destroyed while I was buying upgrades while docked.
