| 8412 | Epiar | games | 4512 | Re: Hey! | Yep, indeed 0.2.2 does seem a bit less buggy, although really 0.2 prolly didn't have so many bugs anyway. There's still an issue with text (in the main intro screen) overwriting old text -just briefly, before the old text vanishes, so most of the time that text is legible, but some of the time it's garbled. The in-game text seems fine, though.
I see also that in this version, that unfinished tutorial isn't even available! Shame. And I managed to figure out most of the remaining stuff before I saw someone pointing out the guide on the website. The only thing I'd missed was how to board vessels. Aha!
This game seems to be coming along pretty damned well, I feel pretty enthusiastic about it, and shall probably be looking back at the website regularly. Seems to me, though, one of the main things this game could do with is a bit more content. Or maybe a lot! The Epiar universe seems very small. I'd be interested in contributing something along those lines, but it's not clear exactly which type of content is holding them back (they seem to have a lot of unused artwork, for example). | 2003-01-23 18:24:04 | 8410 |
| 8413 | Freeciv | games | -1 | Re: 'Challenging' is a bit of a stretch. | Err, it doesn't do that for *me*. It hardly seems appropriate to give up on the game forever for what is hard to conceive as more than an isolated bug (or an actively hostile RNG). | 2003-01-23 20:23:13 | 8377 |

Blah blah blah. Duke Nukem Forever is still being developed. Blah Blah. Blah. We don't know. You don't know. Nobody knows. But everything is all right. Thank you for reading that news. | 8421 | jetstream | games | 6964 | Why only subversion? | Hi Guys,

I went to your page and took a look at some snapshots. They looked so good, that I decided to give the game a try. Unfortunately, it turned out I wasn't able to find anything that was easy to get :-( I don't feel like spending too much time on downloading, installing, and learning how to use "subversion" (however interesting the project might be) right now. Would that be possible for you to just put a nice tarball in addition on your download page?

Cheers, alex.

P.S.: before you call me lazy, right now I'm about to get "jetstream" from http://bzflag.net:3000/svn/jetstream/ using wget. I just felt like asking for a tarball... :-) | 2003-01-24 20:45:47 | 0 |
