Great game! Only things I didn't like was that it has to be run in 8bpp mode (GGI limitation?), and that the player's animation seems rather rigid |

To make the game run, I had to manually set the hostname of my machine, and a port number on both the server (grserver) and the client (gracer).
I found the gtkglarea widget by searching at www.altavista.com. The configure script does not check for this. |

This is the crap...
I just timed it... It refreshes and sorts 1473 quake2 servers in under 10secs, and Gamespy does the same in 1:25...
Takes about 5 seconds just for gamespy to sort the list...
In XQF it's almost immediate.
(btw, I am on cable, w/ a k6-2 350, so YMMV) |

As usual with Open Source software, graphics are awfull !
There are plenty of telented OS programmer but no correct OS graphist out there ?
I won't play it more than I did until some improvement are done in that area... Will I have to learn how to draw just to play the game ? Please ! For the sake of humanity, don't let me draw ! ;-) |

Really funny to play, altough the keyboard control is a bit sloppy. But that makes the game just more stressing ... |

What can you say about this game? A brilliant port of the best computergame ever made. And to be honest, slaughtering some other human players is far more fun then just the computer-controlled. Even the quality of the graphucs are increasing. |

Wow. I've played 0.5, 0.7 and 0.11 (they all came out on the same day -- talk about rapid development) and I think it looks very promising. I even browsed thru the source code and it looks very nicely done. Get it! And the game is very playable btw. :) |
