| 8185 | Openglad | games | 6319 | Re: Sweet! | To make it fullscreen, you can either run it as "openglad -f" on the command line or you can edit its config file (global one is in $prefix/share/games/openglad) and set the fullscreen option to yes. | 2003-01-12 00:04:22 | 8180 |
| 8186 | KartingRace | games | -1 | Re: grrr |
Ctr-Alt-Backspace kills X11, but if that has frozen you have also another option.
You need to have enabled 'Magic SysRq' (a kernel feature) on the bootup. All distro kernel configurations should support and have a way to turn it on. At least you can switch it on from the /proc/sys/.
So when you have SysRq switched on, you can kill the processes running on the current console using Shift-Alt-SysRq-K. If it's a 3D game that has locked your screen, it's possible that your graphics card needs a reboot until your sreen is in a usable state. At least you can now switch to another console and press Ctr-Atl-Del to reboot your machine correctly.
There are also some other things you can do with SysRq, see the documentation coming with Linux kernel sources.
- Eero | 2003-01-12 02:09:10 | 8107 |
