8139 libgli games -1 Re: This is great ! Well, it really only uses pure OpenGL-Calls. You _can_ of course use GLUT (as the examples show. Still need to convert them all to other Interfaces but I'm not that familiar with them), but you can also use anything that sets up an OpenGL-Window. 2003-01-09 23:07:33 8121

8142 KartingRace games -1 Re: whats that inside? ya, it is a .tar without extension. rename it to .tar oder extract it without extension. but the depency problems are here the same (libstdc++.so.5 and so on). question is, on which distri (+version) is this running well?? 2003-01-10 01:29:15 8137

8144 Freedroid RPG games -1 Boring This game is pretty boring, and it doesn't give any in-game instructions for the logic puzzles(which you have only about 15 seconds to play, so it takes a lot of dying-restarting-dying before you figure out what's going on in them). 2003-01-10 02:23:23 0
8145 Vega Strike games -1 Re: To large of a download FFS I'd like to see you do better. This is one of the most professional looking GPL games going IMNSHO. If you think there's an issue on download size that you feel strongly enough about, then do something about it. Download the source and the data and see if you can help the Vega Strike team to improve it. 2003-01-10 02:31:25 7710
8146 Vega Strike games -1 Re: To large of a download Use a binary format for game information? 1) That will not free up much space 2) Are you from Microsoft? 2003-01-10 02:32:25 7710
8148 Rise of the Triad games 7038 Funny! ah, the game created by DIP's I 've got it working, but it hasn't got a fullscreen option (but haven't looked into it really yet) but it will be nice/funny to play this game again! :) Perhaps there also will be a OpenGL engine soon? 2003-01-10 04:41:00 0
8149 GLHack games 7041 Re: GL? Software rendering has been supported since version 0.9.5.
Why OpenGL ? Speed isn't really an issue (even on my 166MHz machine the software renderer is plenty fast, faster than the GL version in some places). One reason is that OpenGL is nice to program with. Another is that I originally planned lots of visual effects like super-smooth scrolling windows, and using GL seemed like the way to go.
Cheers -- Andrew Apted 2003-01-10 04:57:39 6879
