3184 | news | -1 | I cannot believe it | You people. Whining and complaining that NWN for Linux is not out yet. Some of you even pre-ordered, so you've had a copy for months and you can't play it.<p> I used to be like you. "If it's not out for linux, I won't play it."<p> Well, screw that. I got a windows 98 box just for games. And you should, too. I played the crap out of NWN the day after it came out. I'm tired of it now.<p> You are only hurting yourselves with your stupid stance on linux games. Why don't you want to run windows for games? Do you object to using a non-free OS? What about the non-free games you want to run under linux?<p> I use linux at home and at work for everything. Everything except for games. Windows is the gaming OS. It sucks, but that's the way it is. Get used to it.<p> When my console gaming friends bitch "I want to play Super Monkey Ball, but it's not out for the PS2," they don't get any sympathy from anyone. Buy a goddamn Gamecube, then MoFo.<p> Same for PC games. You want to play a game, but it's not available for your platform. Well, I guess you gotta go buy another platform, then. Or, you could whine and moan and bitch until, maybe, a year later, someone does a port.<p> Good luck with that. | 2002-12-08 00:08:38 | 0
3184 | news | -1 | Commercials | What's the best way to get free commercials on many WWW sites? Announce you work on Linux client. Then you can post <b>COMPLETLY USELESS </b>information about your game every week or two. <br> I understand Slashdot publish this crap, but why it's also on happypenguin? :-( | 2002-12-08 01:08:14 | 0

3184 | news | 4 | Re: Commercials | I post this on happypenguin because I believe there are lots of linux gamers waiting for this game. So I save them the weekly visit of one extra site. | 2002-12-08 08:50:41 | 7657
3184 | news | -1 | Re: I cannot believe it | Talk about whining. True Linux users want the games for *nix so they can prove to you whiny Windows users that you can kick the habit and not put up with rebooting your comp 10 times a day after playing your game too long and get down with some serious Linux power blasting you full steam ahead all the while running 120 other kick ass servers/apps, downloading your gigs of pr0n while your box tries to locate extra terrestrial life. TRY THAT, MOFO | 2002-12-08 09:53:27 | 7656
3184 | news | -1 | Re: I cannot believe it | But I cannot play the game on Windows XP. All saved games get corrupted. This is happening on two different boxes. | 2002-12-08 12:36:54 | 7656

This is the only program that doesnt work with my sound card. I don't know why, i have everything set up correctly. Gentoo 1.4/Duron 750/GeforceMX/SBLive! | 2002-12-08 16:44:00 | 0 |
Force feedback for linux | games | -1 | USB mouse problems? | I have applied the patch for the HID version for my Microsoft Force Feedback 2 available at http://madfab.free.fr/ff/ and is it just me, or is it a common side effect for USB mice to stop working? I use DEVFS, and /dev/input/mouse0 will no longer appear. I have to say, though, using the gforce-0.3 utility available on that page, that the force feedback itself works, and is really cool! I look forward to improvements on that front! Jamon | 2002-12-08 17:15:56 | 0
