699 -1 1999-09-30 11:51:52 Category: Arcade
Description: Based on the original Asteroids game console, a spaceship with inertial control has to be manouvered through an "asteroid field" consisting of words of a web page. During the game the player fragments the already mangled page content from sentences to words, from words to characters, and characters to nothingness.
Effectively, this game is the game with the most levels in the world - every webpage could be played as a level ... and there are millions of URLs.
The game was first presented to the public during the net_condition Exhibition Sept. 1999 at the ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany (www.zkm.de).
FAST - FontAsteroids 1.2 new

It is designed to run on Unix (Linux) computers and uses the QT Toolkit and QwSpriteField. A minimum of two players is required, since there is no artifical intelligence (yet?). Boson is still in very early development and not playable yet. Boson's Code and Graphics are published under the GNU General Public License. Boson 0.1 new
702 -1 1999-10-01 10:35:49 Category: Toy
Description: Linux needs more screensavers. People seem to go to great lengths to create cool-looking desktops, but when it comes to screensavers, system resources suddenly become scarce again. Why aren't there loads of funny little GL screensavers for Linux? There's this one OS that has lots of them. Maybe it's just that nobody is aware of the fact that it is really easy to write a small GLUT app and use it as a screensaver, without really knowing how X works.
Anyway, I wrote one. This screensaver shows a few tumbling objects as seen on some other platform, namely "flowerbox", "spiral", "splash", "pipes" and "explode". It can be launched by xscreensaver(1) and settings are changed interactively. GLAD Screensaver 0.0.9 new
