7502 3147 news -1 Winter is almost here and they said it would be released in the fall. So let's hope they are almost finished. 2002-11-30 12:01:20 0
7503 3147 news -1 Re: Winter is almost here I voted for "Never" in that poll a few months ago and I stand by my choice. 2002-11-30 13:37:52 7502
7504 Balloon Chase games 4987 download damned download goes from 2 kb/sec to 400 bytes/sec and starts over and almost finishes and then starts over, etc.... !!!!!!!! It looks good though 2002-11-30 14:00:04 0
7505 Free Fallin' Fred: Open His Chute Or He'll Be Dead games 8 hm.. Well, this game is a bit ... yes easy. It's very hard to hit Fred while falling down, at least in the windows version it is so.. It takes 100% CPU all the time, and if you try to change the active application it nearly hangs the computer... Well, it is a really interesting game .. for about 5 Minutes or so :) 2002-11-30 14:15:13 0
7506 3147 news -1 I just hope you can play it fullscreen. Have you noticed all the screenshots show the game running in a window? I hope this doesn't mean that is the only way you can play it. But I wouldn't be surprised, since the developer doesn't seem to be very experienced. 2002-11-30 15:29:35 0
7507 XbattleAI games 4512 Re: Multiplayer usage question Er, I recognise that using SSH will stop 3rd parties eavesdropping the connection, but are you saying that somehow it also stops the person spawning all the windows from being able to grab the other players' keystrokes, etc? IIRC, it's even roughly possible for people connected to your X-server to get a screenshot (very slowly).
Would you be happy with a stranger watching you type your PIN number at a cash machine? I wouldn't. 2002-11-30 18:54:33 7494

7511 LAB3D/SDL games 5225 Excellent game for Solaris 8/9 Sparc! LAB3D/SDL (Ken's Labyrinth port to UNIX systems)compiles right out of the box on Solaris 8/9 UltraSparc! (as stated on its website).I'm using the GNU tools from the "Companion CD," Sun's implementation of OpenGL, and the SDL libraries (easily compilable with the GNU tools as well!)...

If you have a Creator3D card, and want OpenGL rendering, remember to lower your resolution to 1280x1024, anything higher than this, and U'll be reverted back to the performance of an ole Creator card...! otherwise, you can use the "no filtering" option and get blockier graphics (albeit faster)...!

The game is colorful, tongue-in-cheek, and just plain fun running thru the endless mazes...!

I was wondering, is this port complete enough to be "finishable"? (v.0.94)

Cheers!

Georgie's SOLARCADE
2002-11-30 23:47:55 0
