Description: Space oriented network game system.

Changelog:

Fixed bug with OSW layer and XF86's depth reporting. Shared images should be handled properly now. Use --sync_xshm from the command line when running XSW, this helps reduce flickering for some XF86 versions.

Prompt widget redraw bug fixed as well.

Client updated to use the Linux joystick driver version 1.2.x and up. Use the new xjscal to calibrate your joysticks, delete your old joystick calibration files ($HOME/.joystick) as they are now out of date and useless!!

XJoystick Calibrator is now distributed seperatly, you can obtain it at: ftp://fox.mit.edu/pub/xsw/xjscal3.0.tgz

Lee Anderson has written another excellent Linux gaming article for ext2.org. This one's about Pingus, Ingo Ruhnke's Lemmings clone. If you haven't checked out Pingus yet, do so! You're missing a great game. While everything's downloading, read Lee's article here. |

Description: A commercial turn-based strategy game based on the classic Civilization games.

Changelog: Alpha version released. The Alpha patch is still in beta status, and does not yet provide networking. The Alpha version of Civilization: Call To Power requires a glibc-2.1 based Linux distribution. The patch has been tested with Linux kernel versions 2.2.11 and 2.3.18. The Linux kernel version 2.2.12 has a known bug in the math routines which causes problems with CivCTP.
Update: That's Alpha as in the DEC Alpha processor, ok? Stop trying to explain to me how alpha status precedes beta status and the two are exclusive. I'm not that stupid. Sheesh!
