| 7398 | Trackballs | games | -1 | Re: Trackballs missing fonts under RH7.3 | I Install guile-1.6.0 (gnu.org) from source on my mostly stock Debian unstable,
Then Trackballs compiles, and runs nicely after I installed with "make install".
Running the game from the sourcedir produces an font error.
Nice game. Spotted some minor bugs, like getting stuck on edges, but still very playable. | 2002-11-22 10:35:01 | 7392 |

| 7400 | engendrov | games | -1 | Re: Why not separate AI and GUI? | Well, in fact they are, so if you look at the source code, and take a look to the diferent versions you could see it. The AI engine is called engendro, and the gui is called engendrov :)
So you're totally rigth, the idea is to use tcp for the net playing and it will be just in the way you suggest ;-)
About xboard, I don't know how it works, but sounds very nice!
thank you for your ideas. | 2002-11-22 13:30:29 | 7383 |
| 7401 | Construo | games | 6457 | Great fun | This toy has big potential, it's very fun, however, version 0.1.0 is buggy (I already submitted bug raport on irc). When bugs will be fixed and OpenGL support will be done - this could be best puzzle/simulation around. | 2002-11-22 14:34:46 | 0 |
| 7402 | ScummVM | games | 4498 | Works great! | A requirement for fans of Lucasarts adventure games. ScummVM has been progressing at an amazing rate. A good dozen games work fine and are completable. I'm mostly happy because I can't get sound working for the official Lucasarts interpreter for Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. ScummVM plays the sound just fine under Windows and Linux. Definately check out the compatibility list to see if a Lucasarts adventure game you like is supported. Anything over 80% can be played to completion, and anything at 95% has no known bugs.
They are due for a new release "soon", in the mean time, try the CVS builds if possible. They occasionally have regressions, but it's much better than the last official release.
Do note, this is only an interpreter and needs the data files from the official Lucasarts games. | 2002-11-22 14:58:59 | 0 |
