Tower Toppler | games | 2391 | Nice game | Its a very nice game, and it brings up good memories :) I played the first levels many times and I have had great fun, but now I have reached a state where I have to do a lot of repetitive action in order to see something new. I think that you could improve the game by adding a password at the end of each level. | 2002-11-20 10:36:45 | 0
engendrov | games | -1 | Why not separate AI and GUI? | Just an idea.. How about letting GUI and AI communicate through fcp? This way your AI could work as a backend to xboard and gnome-chess and your gui could be a frontend to gnuchess and phalanx. | 2002-11-20 11:05:45 | 0
NiL - NiL Isn't Liero | games | -1 | Re: Kick ass ! | Actually, I type nil --help and I see nothing about local players. I try passing local players, anyway I can. <br> Is the project dead? I haven't seen a new tarball dated after 2001? | 2002-11-20 15:12:52 | 6789
armagetron | games | -1 | Pretty good | The network play can be a little hairy from lag, also saying it is more playable then glTron is questionable glTron is more responsive and on this type of game that is what matters | 2002-11-20 16:15:50 | 0
Freeciv | games | 4553 | Not as good as people say it is | Freeciv is a nice project, but for me it's almost unplayable as it is. (Dang, I wish Civ III were ported to Linux...) Here are some of my quibbles (the more easily solvable ones): <br><br> 1. Horizontal scrolling ought to be continuous around the world.<br> 2. The isometric view is extremely disappointing. Not only is the map reoriented to be rhombus-shaped instead of changing the map dimensions to facilitate isometric views, but the scroll bars, instead of scrolling horizontally and vertically, scroll at the angle of the map rotation.<br> 3. On Win32, the UI is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. It would almost be better to just not have a Windows port.<br> 4. Not having AI diplomacy frankly stinks. This makes the game almost unplayable in single-player.<br> 5. So many tilesets- and yet so few good-looking tiles... | 2002-11-20 17:26:12 | 0
cgoban | games | 4553 | Great program | Not only is CGoban 1 the best go board I've seen and one of only a few which interface with GNU Go, but it's also available for cygwin!<br><br>I do wish it were more actively maintained, though... | 2002-11-20 17:28:26 | 0
Transfusion | games | 6730 | Re: Good | Got it down to 640x480 and it runs excellent now. This game is pretty awesome. | 2002-11-20 18:55:45 | 7233
NiL - NiL Isn't Liero | games | -1 | Re: Kick ass ! | Neither than i. Maybe i'll email the coders... Well, that's the kind of game wich gives me the will to learn to code (c++ oh my god i don't even know how to sum uner fortran77 :) | 2002-11-21 10:05:03 | 7384
Trackballs | games | -1 | Trackballs missing fonts under RH7.3 :-( | for sure I wanted to start this game immediately! : But no fonts .... :-(( which fonts and where to get ? - ACCOM | 2002-11-22 00:16:12 | 0
Trackballs | games | 506 | 'dosn't work' | I have now tried both the binary and the source, no luck with both of them. The binary fails due to the missing fonts (the fonts are not placed in /usr/local/), fixing that I end up with a black screen. The source code also just leads to a black screen with music playing in the background. | 2002-11-22 01:51:28 | 0
