3009 news -1 Re: -=yawn=- good thing you can play it with winex 2002-10-19 06:35:39 6912
3009 news -1 Re: -=yawn=- But you can't. Every time my wife installs something like a messanger client it kills NWN. Also it is unplayable due to saved game corruption. 2002-10-19 09:25:49 6914
3009 news -1 Moving Grass? I am more than a little distraught when a developer says "I was suprised.... worked...". Its already much common knowledge that in no way was NWN being codeveloped for linux.... but this is just excessive. 2002-10-19 10:08:58 0
3009 news -1 i wonder how much money they are going to lose. I mean, arent the title going to be on budget when the client is released?<br> A lot of game compagnies are into high edge hardware requiring games. And less and less people buy them. Prices also are going up. Then, releases are more and more rushed and now, even patches arent enough. Look at tribes 2 history.<br> They spend millions on developpement of their games, yet have to rush them and then they kill them before completion. Unsane. This is not going to last. 2002-10-19 11:09:28 0
Airstrike games -1 Like on C64 I really liked superdogfight on c64. Now we need joystick support, joystick port switching.. It's hard to win against the AI because it start's ealier eg after a crash. How about some scrollbars to adjust physics, engine power, hitpoints or resistance of the airplanes. Default may be all bars in the middle and then we play around. Or travelling through the time from red baron to f16 @ highest speed. Keep on coding :-] 2002-10-19 12:36:55 0
3009 news -1 Re: i wonder The motives for porting a comercial game to other platforms is not always finacial or at least not entierly evident at first glance. NWN will presumabley be a franchise in comming years complete with sequals and engine licences. By porting it to Linux (or any other platform for that matter) insures that the code base will be more stable and be more platform nuetral in the future...it will be easier to port say to PS2 or Xbox or macs or what ever the developers want it be...being portable dramaticly increases the value of franchise...not just for NWN for itself but for selling the underline technology for other games. 2002-10-19 18:29:17 6917
Majesty games -1 I want this - where can I get it ? My family LOVES this game, but we only have the windows version *sob*. Can anyone tell me where I can buy/eval the Linux version? I've got half a dozen linux boxes in this house, but only Windows on some low-end machines, consequently it [Majesty] does all sorts of strange things when playing multiplayer mode :-( Anyone tell me where I can get the linux one? PLEASE (email to majesty@pldaniels.com) 2002-10-19 23:32:56 0
Rocks 'n' Diamonds games 6013 A few steps above the original All the classic gameplay and 10,000 levels plus! Not to mention 1-4 players, additional features. This game is a must try! 2002-10-20 00:21:47 0
Kohan: IS - Special Awards Edition WineX games -1 No Sound I got the Kohan: Special Awards Edition. The game works great except for no sound. :( There is sound during the 'intro movies' (ie, the adverts for timegate and transgaming) but no sound elsewhere. I am using ALSA with OSS emulation (the via8233 driver). many other applications work great, including zsnes, timidity, mpg123, xmms etc etc etc. I'm not really sure what's wrong with it. 2002-10-20 09:44:38 0
