Falling Block Game | games | 5383 | Game | Yeah. A wonderful version of tetris. | 2002-10-16 11:31:29 | 0
Falling Block Game | games | -1 | Hmm... | The graphics would be nicer if the blocks didn't look "inside out". I think someone forgot whether to give the verticies in counter-clockwise or clockwise order (don't look at me, I can never remember :) ) <p> <p> Daniel | 2002-10-16 18:48:12 | 0
Falling Block Game | games | -1 | Re: Hmm... | Actually, that's a problem with the depth buffer not functioning... I don't know what's going on with the inside-out-ness. If you play in 32-bit color, everything works fine. | 2002-10-16 18:56:48 | 6894
Cube | games | -1 | Re: License? | First; the BSD licence is more open-minded. The GPL is good as a weapon against proprietary software, but does not make the computer world advance (it does make the OPEN-SOURCE world advance, but it's only a small part of the market, however good it is). BSD ensures that while your code is free for anyone to download, it's also public-domain. That means you do not care for anything people do with derivations of your code. In fact, ID Software could just take Cube, modify it a little and sell it, and it would be legal. Now, it wouldn't bother the author, as all he wanted to is having his code used and aknowledged. I am not fully aware of all the difference between the old and the new BSD licenses, but I think there's a clause implying that any code licensied with the BSD license must have a mention of "The regents of the University of Berkeley" or something like that removed. | 2002-10-16 18:59:51 | 6175
Cube | games | -1 | Re: I get 7 FPS (!) on my 700Mhz laptop | Do you have an acclerated graphical card and the driver properly installed? Try to run tuxracer or any other 3d game that needs an acclerated graphical card. | 2002-10-17 01:54:44 | 5974
Cube | games | -1 | Sound Daemons suck | esd is just as bad, I can't wait until a decent mixing archetecture (i.e. not stupid weird daemon that needs to be accessed differently) becomes standard. I have heard that OSS and ALSA are taking steps in the right direction | 2002-10-17 02:24:44 | 6891
GNU Robbo | games | -1 | Great game! | I remeber this game from times I had my Atari 800XE. It is great to see this game again... <br> I only wish it had a fullscreen mode. On my hi-res 1280x1024 the great game looks tiny :-( | 2002-10-17 02:28:57 | 0
Cube | games | 5830 | This game is awesome! | I am not fan of such games - but I've installed it just to take a look. It's good. Considering that it is an OpenSource project I think it will be more and more fun with this game. If developers read this - GREAT WORK GUYS/GIRLS! | 2002-10-17 10:30:33 | 0
GL-117 | games | 6561 | this is great! | no realisim whatsoever, just simple, quick to get into, fun. A must have. | 2002-10-17 13:23:01 | 0
GNU Robbo | games | -1 | Re: Great game! | Fixed :) I prepared bigger graphics - so I think the visibility and fun will be better. Also there're more than 40 levels... | 2002-10-18 03:00:43 | 6899
