<p>
The most useful change is the board notation, which allows you to mark squares based on what you think might be under them. Also, at the end of the game you can flip back and forth between the correct solution and your guess. Assorted bug fixes as well.

<li>If the game would be over as a result of a field battle, the window would turn into a gray rectangle, and you couldn't see the board in its final state. Fixed.
<li>It is now possible to configure a human player to use the keys Return, Space and Right Control.
<li>Slowed down the "fast" weapons a little bit, hopefully now the computer will kick everybody's ass a little less. </ul>

<img src="/images/coin.gif" align=right width=117 height=113><a href="http://www.lokigames.com">Loki Entertainment Software</a> has released another open source project, this one called <a href="http://www.lokigames.com/development/smjpeg.php3">the SDL Motion JPEG Library</a>, which they developed during porting of <i>Railroad Tycoon II</i>.
<blockquote>SMJPEG creates and displays full motion video using an open, non-proprietary format created by Loki. It is based on a modified version of the Independent JPEG Group¹s library for JPEG image manipulation and freely available source code for ADPCM audio compression. Among its many
benefits, SMJPEG allows for arbitrary video sizes and frame-rates, user-tuneable compression levels, and facilities for frame-skipping and time synchronization.
