A game loosely based on Legend Of the Red Dragon, a very popular BBS door game. |
DROL (Dragon Realm Of Lore) is a RPG/adventure game server loosely based on Legend Of the Red Dragon, a highly popular BBS door game. DROL is being written in Perl. Users telnet into a server running the DROL daemon to play.
<p>
DROL will have very good support for plugins, and lots of work is going into the plugin system.
<p>
There will be an extensive battle system, message boards, real time chat, multiple classes and skills, and in the future many more features.
<p>
The game's core has no "area", ie, you don't walk north/south/east/west, but additional Plugins can be created that would support worlds like this.
<p>
If you would like to help out, please sign up for the drol-devel mailling list (you can find it at the web site) and get into the discussion. |

Mechanized combat in the far future |
<p>From the homepage:</p>
<blockquote>
DropTeam is a multiplayer capable, real-time, tactical simulation of armored ground combat in the far future. You’ll battle for control of objectives on a broad variety of planets ranging from verdant Earth-like worlds to desolate, radioactive wastelands. You will use Dropship's (see unit list) to land fighting vehicles and other deployable assets like sensors, mines and automated turrets on planetary surfaces. You will take direct control of various types of armored fighting vehicles while also coordinating your team, including AI, other human players, artillery support and more. Vast, exotic landscapes rendered in real-time with detailed, accurate physics and ballistics systems and true line-of-sight provide realistic combat. There are no “hit points”, limited view distances, unrealistically short weapon ranges, or other gross simplifications that are typical of many other sci-fi games. DropTeam can be played online on a public server with up to 16 players, or it can be played privately with as few as 2 players, as well as single-player vs. AI opponents. AI opponents can also be mixed in with human players in order to make the teams any size you like.
</blockquote>
<p>DropTeam runs on Mac OS-X, Linux, and Windows 98/ME/2000/XP</p> |

duckmaze is a game about a duck that is in a maze. |
<p>duckmaze is a game about a duck that is in a maze. The duck can move walls, but only if there are no walls in the way (it makes sense when you try it).
<p>It's a simple puzzle game which starts with easy levels but progresses to some quite tricky ones.

<p>Dune 2: The Golden Path is my attempt to recreate the original Dune 2 from the ground up, using completely original code and incorporating modern-day RTS features (and compatibility with Windows XP/Vista/7, Linux and Mac), with a focus on the multiplayer experience. The only things taken from the old Dune 2 are the graphics, sound, and gameplay style. |

0.7.1 |
actively developed version of Linley's Dungeon Crawl |
<p>Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is a fun, free rogue-like game of exploration and treasure-hunting in dungeons filled with dangerous and unfriendly monsters in a quest for the mystifyingly fabulous Orb of Zot.
<p>Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is a variant of Linley's Dungeon Crawl that's openly developed and invites participation from the Crawl community.
<p>Dungeon Crawl has superb, deep tactical gameplay, innovative magic and religion systems, and a grand variety of monsters to fight. Crawl is also one of the hardest roguelikes to beat. When you finally beat the game and write your victory post on rec.games.roguelike.misc, you know you've achieved something.
<p>You can also play Crawl online on a public telnet server thanks to the good folks at crawl.akrasiac.org and crawl.develz.org. These public servers allow you to meet other players' ghosts, watch other people playing, and, in general, have a blast.
<p>Crawl discussion usually happens in ##crawl on Freenode IRC, the rec.games.roguelike.misc newsgroup, and the SourceForge mailing list crawl-ref-discuss. |
