JJFFE - Frontier 2 for Linux | games | -1 | Install | I could not compile it, the documentation is for c programmers not for users. It would be helpfull, if someone would write a HOWTO to the linux/allegro installation | 2002-09-17 05:05:08 | 0
unreal tournament 2003 | games | -1 | Re: can i get it run with a Radeon 8500 | I am new with linux and dont know so much until now.. :( but i want to play open GL based games, i have a Radeon 8500 and Linux Mandrake 9.0 Beta 2. But if i start tux racer or any other game the speed is at 1 FPS or sometimes 2.. how can i get it work.. i searched the net and i found DRI but it doesnt support Radeon 8500 cards until now only Radeon. And i heared that nVidia cards have a very good support under Linux, so they are the best for open GL. so i ask is there any other possibilities to get my 8500 work with more speed... and whats mesa?? i installed it but it didnt changed anything. | 6604 | Pachi el marciano | games | 679 | Good, but slow | Cute graphics, cute music, just kind of slow gameplay. (Also, no sense of gravity when you jump or fall). Very promising, though! | 2002-09-17 13:39:47 | 0
Pachi el marciano | games | -1 | Re: Good, but slow | i dont think its slow... for me its right (may be i am a little slow too :p) and about the gravity you are right, it doesnt affect, but it doesnt affect mario, sonic, prehistorik man, titus the fox, blues brothers... and many, many more the game is very cool | 2002-09-17 14:19:39 | 6604
unreal tournament 2003 | games | -1 | Re: can i get it run with a Radeon 8500 | I'm sorry to tell you that you dont go far with a radeon under linux. The proprietary drivers dont support texture compression required by ut2003 nor does the dri drivers. It works with fairly old games, but you'll have to wait some more before ATI releases usable drivers. | 2002-09-17 15:46:12 | 6603
Pachi el marciano | games | -1 | This is fun! | Interesting concept. Reminds me of Mario Bros. (the orignal) mixed with some Grim Fandango. Cool game. I think that the final product will turn out nicely. | 2002-09-17 17:00:05 | 0
Pachi el marciano | games | 506 | Looks ok | Graphic and sound are nice, a little more animations for the main character would be good. The jump behaviour feels wrong, gravity could help here. I also think that the tiles could be better, the game looks currently by far to blocky due to the tiles. Smoothing the tile borders could help here. | 2002-09-17 17:10:33 | 0

nmaFPS | games | -1 | Page.... so... un...readable.... | I have a simple rule... If the web page for a game is so gawd awfull, and the only way to read it is to override the colors, expect the game to be worse. | 2002-09-18 02:56:21 | 0
Pachi el marciano | games | 4207 | Thanks | Hi, thank you all for the comments and sugestions. please i´ll apreciate if you are more specific..., for example if the jump behavior is wrong how you sugest it can be... it feels fine for me, but if you think not, please tell me how you like to be. see ya | 2002-09-18 03:17:29 | 0
