| 6100 | 2718 | news | -1 | c64/amiga | Hi, all you Commodore-fans out there! Commodore used to build nice machines, but it's still not the reason to pretend like there were *no* other computers on the world except C64 and Amiga. Elite was originaly brought on BBC (model B). Except BBC, there was a port to every other major 8-bit brand out there, including ZX Spectrum, Apple II, Amstrad CPC, Electron, and many more. For more information about Elite, click here.

Cheers, alex. | 2002-07-20 01:58:56 | 0 |

But licensing the artwork under more restrictive licenses is not IMHO a bad move for that project, considering that doing so they can be helped by professionals which probably wouldn't let them use their work if it was GPLed. | 2002-07-20 03:57:50 | 5488 |

| 6107 | ggelite | games | -1 | How do I fix this? | I love the engine, very nice, and the size of ever thing is right to scale, I just have problem. If I try to fly to a planet, or Moon, and then increase time, after I while I get this error "%Uncaught exception NSGenericException, reason : Could not find bitmap file whitespaceAndNLCharset" Dose this mean I'm missing files, or did I just screw up when I setted it up? I use KDE2, but I don't think that's the issue. Be great if someone could help me on this. | 2002-07-21 11:40:49 | 0 |

| 6110 | BoyCott Advance/SDL | games | -1 | Re: BoyCott Advance/SDL | ...the only game available was PONG (oh, no! the nightmare..., the nightmare...!!!) Anyway, the graphic was too small. So if I wanted to play it in full screen, the display became somewhat a bit pixelated
I think you are missing the point. This program is a Gameboy Advance emulator. It is illegal to distribute copyrighted ROMs (the GBA games). There are many user-created games available, however. The GBA programming scene is really starting to heat up, as more and more info on how to make GBA games becomes available.
The window is so small because the GBA screen is 240 x 120 pixels. That's just the way it is. When you make it fullscreen it just scales it up. Same number of pixels.
I've found this emulator to be the BEST one available for Linux. It's really come along way recently, with huge speed and compatibility improvements in just the past few months.

-geekd | 2002-07-21 15:45:49 | 4185 |
