This makes it easier to release romrc sections for new games (just tell the user to download the file to his romrc.d dir). Eventually the big romrc file could be split. [Renato Sousa]
Add support for a special, per-game bios (eg: kof2003 has its own bios) in romrc and emulator [Renato Sousa]
remove useless patches over BIOS (bios runs cleanly now). Added code to select bios according to country configuration. Also load the aes bios if configured to run as console, but this bios is extremely buggy. [Renato Sousa]
add global configuration entries for country [Renato Sousa]
now the bankswitcher (memory handler for the bankswitching area) is selected when the CPU is initialized for a game. added an option for this in romrc [Renato Sousa]
change all long handlers code to a LONG_FETCH/LONG_STORE macro, since they are all similar. [Renato Sousa]
Explicitly size most variables, including Uintptr to an "integer of the size of a pointer" [Renato Sousa]
autodetect driver for rom, when rom has more than one driver (was only working for directories, not for zip files) [Renato Sousa]
support bios/game vector changing. Right now it saves the entire vector (128 bytes) to the savestate file. It could possibly be optimized to just save whether it is the bios or the game vector. [Renato Sousa]
remove some code duplication [Renato Sousa]
support kof2003 bankswitcher [Renato Sousa]
Joystick Hat support [Sheng Long Gradilla]
romrc update
| gngeo 0.6.5beta | updated | gngeo |

What started in 1999 as a technology demonstration has become quite an advanced flight simulator.
This has always been my pet project but now I'm going to release it to the public, under the GPL, an Open Source license. This means that development can continue including other people than just myself. While it is already playable, Thunder&Lightning is by no means a finished game. If you like it, think about contributing!
In the long run, I plan to incorporate features from the 80's classics Carrier Command and Midwinter. There will be multiple Islands to conquer, each with its own defense strategy. Thunder&Lightning will not be mission oriented, but there will be scripted events for each island. | Thunder&Lightning 041108b | new | Thunder&Lightning |

The players task in this game is to find jobs and finish missions to earn money and make a living.
The engine is based on OpenGL and supports particle effects, lightmapping, 3d character models, has scripting support via Squirrel as well as classic tilemaps as known from more traditional 2d games. Most of these parts are however either unfinished, buggy, unoptimized or otherwise in need for work. So your help is welcome and needed to turn this game into something playable.
To gather more developers, coordinate work and inform people about the project and progress we have the Windstille Development Wiki up and running where you can see what is going on and which tasks are available. While we basically need all the help we can get, people interested in sci-fi story writing and in developing some creative game mechanics are especially welcome. Beside the Wiki you can also see proposal thread for some more information about the game and what is planed to be accomplished in the following months.
The latest development version of Windstille is available via Subversion from:

svn co svn://svn.berlios.de/windstille/trunk/

IRC Meeting

We will have an IRC meeting this weekend to discuss the details of the further development, assign tasks and such, so if you are interested your welcome to join:
Server: irc.freenode.net
Channel: #windstille
Date: Saturday, 2nd July 2005
Time: 16:00 GMT

| Happypenguin's Help Wanted: Windstille - IRC Meeting | default | |
