Uplink games -1 Re: Uplink the demo does fix that bug.... 2002-07-16 11:23:41 4514
gno3dtet games 1923 Yet another blockout clone... Looks slightly better than xbl, is just as addictive and runs perfectly smooth on my obsolete machine. How could I ask for more? 2002-07-16 11:34:37 0
Uplink games -1 Re: Uplink I had a bad motherboard that probably contributed to my problems. I bought it any way. :-) It's great. I haven't had a chance to try the 1.2 patch yet. 2002-07-16 12:45:24 6060
Ultima I: A Legend Is Reborn games 21 GUI/Sound issue Excellent overall. The binary requires libarts. If you have KDE this is no problem. The GUI is all blue, all the text is unreadable. The game is very taxing on hardware. I'm running a Radeon7500+Athlon1700 and it was smooth, but I could tell my processors were very busy. All in all very promising, especially since it will be free as in beer. I don't quite understand if and how the programmers are getting paid. 2002-07-16 14:27:34 0
AKICHAN games 3 Re: Save the seals? Personally, I'd prefer to save the little cuties by defending them with a chainsaw or anything like that.<p> On the other hand, its actual gameplay may be pretty good for youngsters. 2002-07-16 16:30:37 6052
VisualBoyAdvance-SDL games -1 Nice concept, poor performance VBA-SDL looks like it would be great, but it runs far too slow on my system to be useful. I've a PII/266 w/320Mb RAM, so it should be in the realm of reason to expect this emulator to run no prob. I run many other SDL games, as well as 3D-accelerated X games under linux with Gnome, without problems. I hope the author fixes the emu to work better/faster. Then I might even *buy* it :) 2002-07-16 17:27:42 0

Ultima I: A Legend Is Reborn games -1 This one's gonna be good! Whenever playing resource-intensive games, I use the switchdesk twm command to change from KDE to the crude but fast TWM windows manager. Perhaps that's why I didn't have the blue-gui and unreadable text problems that the previous two posters did. My old machine isn't fast enough for really smooth rendering, but nevertheless, this game is a joy to look at, and I'm really looking forward to playing the full version! I love the fog, background music, and birds singing as you walk through the countryside. -Jeffm 2002-07-17 02:56:21 0
Ultima I: A Legend Is Reborn games 5085 Re: Wonderfull! i didnt have the blue gui problem at all, however i wonder if it might be related to the Radeon? i've got a Geforce 3 TI 200, no problems at all. execpt that i've got 384mb ram, and 900 swap (i do alot of large image processing) and this game filled BOTH, seems like i'm gonna need a huge ram upgrade when it comes out, i believe this game may come close to rivialing Morrowind, this is commercial quality, i think they're doing it 1. for the fun. 2. for the exposure, doing something this great is most likely going to get some publicity and get more jobs that pay. 2002-07-17 06:26:29 6059
