| 6024 | Neverwinter Nights Dedicated Server | games | -1 | Re: Plusses and minuses | Bioware is not to blame for not coming out a multi platform NWN. Bioware is suppose to launch a PC,Mac and Linux NWN all at the sametime, but didn't because users were rushing them like mad to release the game. Although its been in development for about 5 years, NWN is buggy, due to the fact that the beta testing period was cut short. It is a Platinum game today, because of the fans that have been faithfully waiting for this D&D bible to launch. Bioware is committed into patching NWN and have shown great support through their forums. Please don't blame a succesful company because of the nagging of NWN fans. Its a great game and the Aurora toolset shows great potential in shaping todays RPG genre. | 2002-07-13 07:11:53 | 5863 |

| 6026 | Hoverball | games | -1 | Using binaries? Fire up the server 1st | As a quick check, if you encounter problems with running the client part, first start the server and then (after a few seconds) the client. If it works, then you need to pick a non-local server.
This is similar to the problems that occured before when running some other network-required games. | 2002-07-13 11:30:40 | 0 |

| 6028 | FindItNIX | games | -1 | Re: Install?! | I solved editing the Makefile and changing the qt moc & libraries path in the MOC varibale declared in the beginning and in the successive gcc invocations. It compiles and works. Note you have previous to download the libipk fzip (link is the same page) and put the uncompressed files in /usr/lib.
Nice game, but a configure script (and working binaries) would be appreciated :)
bye. | 2002-07-13 13:50:25 | 6027 |
