| 5770 | PlaneShift | games | -1 | Re: Some additional info | Even the levels are restricted! How is a freedom concious gamer sposed to play this "Open Source" game when much of it is propriotory? Gah! DISGUSTING! | 2002-06-15 12:46:07 | 5757 |
| 5771 | PlaneShift | games | -1 | Re: Some additional info | Instead of complaining, why don't you take the engine, make some levels and artwork yourself? That's the idea with free software. And when you're done, you can give us your free artwork and levels. | 2002-06-15 16:25:50 | 5770 |

| 5774 | 2579 | news | -1 | Perhaps just as intresting: | "The Cg Language Specification is published and is open in the sense that other vendors may implement products based on it. To encourage this, an open-source implementation of a Cg compiler front-end is expected to be available by Siggraph ’02." chris | 2002-06-16 02:21:05 | 0 |
| 5775 | TUA | games | 2328 | Needs a couple of things. | First off, it looks very cute. But it's TOO FAST! Maybe some timing loops in the code to slow it down a bit would help here, but I can barely see where I am before I get eaten.

Second thing needed is autoconf. The default makefile is not safe, since it tries to use gcc for C++ (this tends to cause link errors). I edited it to work, but autoconf would help matters here.

Looks promising, though. | 2002-06-16 02:40:00 | 0 |
| 5776 | 2579 | news | -1 | already for linux? |
it seems like there is already a version of cg for linux on nVidia's site: http://download.nvidia.com/developer/cg/Cg-1.00-1.i386.rpm however, i haven't had the chance of trying it out (the link might be broken). if someone knows an alternate, please tell me so i can download it.

Cosmin.
| 2002-06-16 03:12:22 | 0 |
