| 5526 | Astro Battle | games | 3 | Possible registration problem workaround | I have contacted the author regarding the registration/login problem I had.
Here is his possible workaround:

"To get around the problem you can edit the .gui.properties (should be in the root dir where you installed astro battle) file to change your auto login settings like so:
login.name=uberscott
LoginFrame.username=uberscott
LoginFrame.remember=true
LoginFrame.p=myPassword
if you add those lines (changing the username and password of course) you should be auto logged in and hopefully you won't have any problems."

The .gui.properties file is created _after_ the first start of Astro Battle.
Please post here if you succeed.
Cheers | 2002-05-24 22:09:23 | 0 |

| 5530 | Frozen Bubble | games | 4666 | Very nice game | Very nice game. I would like an option that lets you continue from any level. eg: when you reach level 20, and you quit the game, it gives you a password or something, or just remembers you, so the next time you can continue playing from that level. Also I would like a score system. eg: if you drop a lot of balls from one shot i gives much more points that droping just one ball. | 2002-05-25 14:19:49 | 0 |

| 5536 | ADOM | games | -1 | ADoM, genre of it's own | Ever since stumbling upon ADoM on my friends older brother's computer, I have been intrigued. I've always been open to all sorts of games, and ASCII graphics are nothing suprising to me. (Adventures of Kroz comes to mind)

What gets my goat is when someone says "only text". Books are only text, and they (much of the time) are better then movies. Although really, they're much different. Text is not some sort of cheap substitute for graphics. It all representitive. If you can't use your imagination, you end up using someone elses.

My cosuins friend sees ADoM and is completely ignorent to the concept of it, refering to it as stupid and boring and "having no point".
But then this can be said of any rogue-like game. (A great concept in it's own right)

Well, if you don't like ADoM, it's because you don't understand it.

Bottomline: ADoM rulez; I play it tons more then Diablo, and I payed for that.

PS. Anyone want to buy a barely-used copy of Diablo? | 2002-05-26 10:55:43 | 0 |
