<p>Cultivation explores the social interactions within a gardening community. You lead one family of gardeners, starting with a single individual, and wise choices can keep your genetic line from extinction. While breeding plants, eating, and mating, your actions impact your neighbors, and the social balance sways between conflict and compromise.
<p>
Cultivation features dynamic graphics that are procedurally-generated using genetic representations and cross-breeding. In other words, game objects are "grown" in real-time instead of being hand-painted or hard-coded. Each plant and gardener in the game is unique in terms of both its appearance and behavior. |

Cuyo is a Tetris-style puzzle game for up to two players. The player controls falling blocks of various types which change with each level. For example, in the first level, the player has to connect differently colored cartoon faces to each other. When enough blocks of the same type are connected, they explode. Usually the level goal is to destroy a certain number of special blocks at the bottom of the screen; these special blocks explode when blocks adjacent to them explode (in some levels, only when this is accomplished through a chain reaction).
<p>
Some of the more complex levels have
<ul>
<li>changing blocks (e.g., darkening over time, changing into a different state, only revealing their type occasionally)
<li>changing environments (e.g., very quickly falling blocks)
<li>different block connection requirements (e.g. blocks can only connect diagonally)
</ul>
The player loses when the blocks reach the upper border of the level. This upper border is slowly lowered like a "curtain" (with a velocity depending on the level), forcing the player to reach the goal with some time.
<p>
The game graphics and animations, while simple, are part of the player's motivation, since they change with each level. The constantly changing requirements make Cuyo different from Tetris, where the main variation over time is speed and scoring. |

Cylindrix is a 3-on-3 combat game with 360 degrees of freedom that is similar to Spectre VR but with a wider variety of ships, as well as the addition of drivers. Attack and be attacked from all angles as you battle in huge orbiting arenas that are each unique in physics, atmospheric conditions, and configuration. You must build your team from 37 warriors from 10 alien races and select from 8 vehicles, each with unique maneuverability, speed, and firepower. The graphics are good, although structure and ship graphics are a little too monotonous. Gameplay is fast and furious... so furious, in fact, that it is difficult to differentiate between friend and foe in the thick of battle. For those who are confident of their reflexes or have beaten Spectre and Battlezone, though, this game is worth a try. |
