Kobo Deluxe games 4074 ... All I wanted to do was to take a quick look at it. And now? I found myself saying: Just one more level. And after that just one more. And one more... This game rocks! Extremely funny. Some levels are easier to allow relaxed shooting before it gets tough again. An extremely dangerous mix! Keep away if you don't want to get addicted. ;-) 2002-05-08 15:50:32 0
Crystal Space games -1 Re: GNU/Linux Planescape? I HOPE not The code is under the GPL ONLY because the founder couldent wrench it from the hands of the free software world BECAUSE of the GPL. Yet again I hope it fails because of the restrictive propriatary license even if it is "only" on the artwork, thats 75% of your game btw. (I would suggest GPLing the artwork to - the founder seems an ass) 2002-05-08 17:21:59 5388
Crystal Space games -1 Re: GNU/Linux Planescape? I HOPE not GPL is a source code license and isn't very useful for artwork. So some other kind of license would be needed. Personally I can understand the decision to keep the art work under a strick license though. But anyway, this is not really CS related :-) Greetings, 2002-05-08 21:40:00 5405
Iter Vehemens Ad Necem games -1 Cool Roguelike! My biggest beef with it is the food thing. I always hated the food thing in these games, but this is the worst i've ever seen. Maybe I'm missing something, but I've only died from starvation in this game so far. It seems potentially very fun if not for this. The other thing is I didn't find a way to choose my character class. I don't even really know if it makes a difference, but my character had different pictures, it'd be nice to be able to choose. 2002-05-09 02:03:08 0
Crystal Space games -1 Re: GNU/Linux Planescape? I HOPE not You are wrong! The artwork is very important, with outh the textures 3D models levels etc under a free license the game is not free. You could use the GnuFDL for the content. Why reason is there to put art under a evil propriatary license? Why reason is there not to put the code under a propriatary license for that matter? The "founder" is a trator to the cause, the only reason the code is under the GPL is because he CAN'T change it as he dosn't want to reimplement it! 2002-05-09 10:16:08 5406
FreeDroid games 5910 Re: sigh OK. The port is basically done. We now use SDL instead of SVGALIB and the game is well running under X11 now. Yet, I havn´t made an announcement, because we still have some problems with the autoconf/automake utils that create the archives of our homepage, and thats something my brother does. When he has revolves things, I´ll add a new archive 0.7.0 to the homepage and announce the new release here again, perhaps tomorrow or today in the evening or so... Have fun, Johannes Prix. 2002-05-09 23:34:32 5393
Castle-combat games 5795 Simply magnifficient <P>This is one of the most simple multiplayer game I have ever seen but I still love it. Playing with friends is really fun and addiction factor is high enough to make you forget that you need food and sleep too ;-)<P></P>Graphics are not too heavy and work fine as well as music, which is really amazing. Actually no other game has ever sounded this good. Nice extra is that you can use your brain cells in this game too (though you don't need to be a genius to play well). </P><P> Castle-combat is definitely one of the best games I have ever played and I think that you should try it too :-)</P> 2002-05-10 06:58:55 0

gl passthru games -1 Re: question .. I have an old pII that sits under the tv as a set top box... and now i use it like an xbox, except me and a few of my friends can play online(q3a, urban terror, etc)... It also works accross multiple screens... so if you get another video card(or you have a dual head) you AND your friend can play on one computer... 2002-05-10 08:33:52 5414
