The player controls a spaceship that can rotate left and right as well as thrust forward. The ship is armed with a front mounted cannon which can blow up enemies. Objects and the player will bounce off the sides of the screen, and enemies will bounce off each other. Rather than the traditional 3 (or n) lives found in many games, the player has a shield which protects them from collisions. The game is played with the keyboard. A sample keyboard layout is provided, but is configurable. Twig's In Space 0.9.3a new Twig's In Space

The code has also been completely re-architected to support a headless server for multi-user play. Network play uses SDL_Net and only compiles if you have it installed. Currently (because of the battle system work) almost no effort has gone into the network code (chat works...) Also in this release are UI layouts (numbered buttons on main ui), misc. gui improvements and many bugfixes. (For example, making systems with the stencil buffer off run faster.)
