Mamecat works perfectly with xmame.xgl if that is the only version of xmame installed, the problem I had was both versions used different configs so Mamecat borked, I only have xmame.xgl installed now and it works great.

You can get xmame.xgl binaries here :http://www.beimborn.com/cps2/linux/ | 2002-04-01 04:59:53 | 4495 |

| 5179 | Reaper | games | 5225 | Reaper 0.98 on Solaris UltraSparc... | Reaper 0.98 DOES compile on Sol8 UltraSparc...(the GNU autoconf thingy made life much easier than the previous versions of Reaper!) I've tried it on an Ultra2, Sol8, Creator3d frame buffer, Sun OpenGL 1.3, STLport (more info on where to get it on freshmeat.net), gcc 2.95.3 (from the Sol8 Companion CD)...the graphics R AWESOME, but as stated on Reaper's official website, the game is still slow on UltraSparcs...as it is still not optimized for Solaris yet! =( The good thingy is that the developers will try to tune the game more for Solaris!!! yeh!!!!!!!!!! I never got OpenAL to compile on Solaris, so to start Reaper (once compiled), I use the "-f" option to bypass menus/openal, or use this suggestion that I got from the Reaper's developers... Create a data/config/hw_snd_system file, containing this line: "sound = dummy" (without the double quotes)... I am looking forward to seeing future versions of Reaper! hopefully supporting SDL for easier cross-compiling! =) This is a game with excellent potentials! Cheers! Georgie's SOLARCADE | 2002-04-02 14:16:45 | 0 |

| 5182 | carterrain | games | -1 | Great | Great and promising, and car's motion is original. Just a few thing : - some keys doesn't respond for some players when playing with more than one - sound! it would be great to know how your car does "respond" - maybe the car should be heavier and more powerfull | 2002-04-03 01:54:23 | 0 |
| 5183 | Race | games | 3220 | Re: Race | You only need extra libs if you are going to compile from source. That is not recommended... Almost everybody should download the binary (which has all less common libs staticly linked) | 2002-04-03 04:13:44 | 5127 |
