| 5122 | Cannon Smash | games | -1 | Great game! | I really like this game. I looks difficult to play at first. But, after a few games, I was addicted. Table Tennis is my favourite game since young. Now I can play it on my Linux box. I am so happy. :) The developers are great. | 2002-03-20 19:23:05 | 0 |
| 5123 | Tunnel Fighter | games | -1 | Re: Tunnel Fighter | I agree with you completely on that. While I do think that some of the game projects out there could use a little more artistic flair ( ;> ), it does not at -all- detract from the playability and entertainment that you can get out of some of the free software out there. My personal favourite example is FreeCiv..it's a far more social game than anything I've played for Windows, the community is usually quite friendly, and despite what may appear to be "dated" graphics is actually very fun to play. And let's not count out all the MUD/MUCK/etc. servers out there that, for the most part, have no graphics at all..and yet attract hundreds of players worldwide. | 2002-03-21 05:57:51 | 5117 |
| 5124 | BumpRace | games | -1 | Fuzzy | While everyone else is playing the latest and bloodiest first person shooters and other technological marvels, there are still these cute games that everyone can love. This one is a lot of fun, and pretty smooth thanks to SDL. | 2002-03-21 20:40:46 | 0 |
| 5125 | Quake 2 | games | -1 | 3D support | Just so everyone knows, there IS support for cards outside of the 3Dfx series. Just make sure you have the support installed first, then run the game with +set vid_ref glx +set gl_driver /usr/lib/libGL.so (or wherever your libGL.so library is). Now you can select "GLX" or "SDL-GLX" if you have SDL installed. | 2002-03-21 22:30:04 | 0 |
| 5126 | Hack and Slash Action RPG | games | -1 | Re: Pretty good! | OK, _how_?
There's no directions on how to compile it, and the usual suspects don't work. Give me a clue here... | 2002-03-22 13:07:44 | 5049 |

| 5128 | Dominions | games | 4083 | Just get it. | I lost over two weeks to this game. And _that_ was just the demo. The full version arrived three weeks ago, and I'm still playing more than an hour a day, single player or multiplayer hot seat, not yet even getting into any PBEM games. It's like a cross between Risk and Master of Magic. The interface is clunky, but you'll get used to it with time, and there are many keyboard shortcuts. Good documentation in PDF format, though not extensive. | 2002-03-22 22:20:53 | 0 |
| 5130 | Unreal Tournament | games | -1 | Re: fps problem | Building your own Kernel is always a good idea.
And try to get the Source-RPM's of the NVIDIA-Drivers and recompile them with some optimization flags (the module is very important). | 2002-03-23 09:00:28 | 5022 |
