People have different hardware, different drivers, different distributions, so it's perfectly feasable that RTCW could be crashy on his machine and not on yours. Instead of telling people who are having problems that they can't handle linux, you could put your efforts into asking about his hardware, telling him that with your hardware/software configuration RTCW works fine.
