| 4740 | 54321 | games | 1161 | Mind-bending in a good way |
Very cool idea, although a 3-D mode would be helpful for visualizing what's going on.
Some of these games are very challenging at the higher dimensions, despite the small board size. "Wrap" mode generally seems harder than un-wrapped--- in particular, "flip-flop" without wrap is generally trivial even in 4-D. A good range of challenges. | 2002-02-05 14:52:13 | 0 |

| 4742 | Theocracy | games | -1 | Umm | This isn't really new... I remember seeing this on the Tome over a year ago. That's how I originally found out about it, actually. :) I remember how painfully slow it was to download the demo over modem... | 2002-02-05 18:46:45 | 0 |
| 4743 | Reaper | games | 5631 | Starting reaper | You can change the default resolution of the game in data/config/hw_gfx (make a copy of hw_gfx.defaults and remove the ext). You can also add 'fullscreen=true' there. Might work better for you voodoo-people?

However, if reaper says 400x300 it means that it couldn't find a hardware accelerated mode and tries in software.

Please use the mailing-list (reaper3d-devel@lists.sourceforge.net) to report all problems on starting/running Reaper, as well as comments about game play/feature requests/ etc... | 2002-02-06 00:11:25 | 0 |

| 4745 | Reaper | games | 5631 | Re: Crash | Matrox under Linux is supposed to be a lot better. It works on my G200 on Win2000 now, but that fix hasn't made it to a public release, so I can't say if it fixes things for you Linux guys. | 2002-02-06 00:15:16 | 4724 |
| 4746 | Reaper | games | 5631 | Re: Reaper problems... | We are looking into ways to improve the build-process (configure-script etc..), so that Reaper is accessible to more ppl. | 2002-02-06 00:16:57 | 4735 |
| 4747 | Reaper | games | -1 | Run under Debian | I can't get this thing to run under Debian. I have mesa set up and can run other OpenGL games. I get this: error in loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: Cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I'm pretty sure libstdc and libc6 are installed. Perhaps they need upgrading (but I have the latest available for Debian already)??? Darrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can anyone help? | 2002-02-06 01:00:26 | 0 |
| 4748 | Dave Gnukem | games | -1 | Excellent | Excellent idea! Not bad for what is essentially a concept beta release. I loved the original 2D nukem, and other crappy shareware that you used to get on a 5 1/4' disk at the mall. This reminds me. Hopefully someone will take it over and vamp it up. | 2002-02-06 01:19:06 | 0 |
