In most cases you still know what the sender intended to say, right? I'm from Germany. IIRC, we scored 27th of 31 participating countries in the Reading Literacy test of the PISA survey, i.e. 4 countries performed worse than we did. I took one off because of the lack of good documentation on the controls (and changeable controls would be nice, too).
