One on one games are possible via direct connect or modem. netPanzer is designed for FAST ACTION combat -- it is not another resource management clone. In fact, there aren't any resources at all. Each player will have many units of different types at their disposal. Players can fight until their units are destroyed -- then respawn and keep on going. The game is real-time, but it's based on quick tactical action and unit management. Battles progress quickly and constantly; in fact, they never let up. There is no stop in the action because there is no waiting for resources to be collected and converted into weaponry. Players can join or leave multiplayer games at any time. | netPanzer 0.1 | new | netPanzer |

Homeworld, originally released in 1999, was dubbed "Game of the Year" by PC Gamer and "Strategy Game of the Year" by Computer Gaming World.<p> This a Linux port of the Homeworld code released by Relic. It is still in a very early state, and many of the features (and stability) of the Windows version are not yet implemented.<p> Current features include:<br> - OpenGL support<br> - Saved game compatability with the Windows version<p> Features yet to be ported:<br> - Software and Glide renderers<br> - Sound support :(<p> Cutscenes are stored in Bink format, which requires a license for playback. As such, support for in-game cutscenes is not planned.<p> Network support in Homeworld uses a third-party library whose source was also not included with the game source. As such, network support is currently not planned, but it is possible that it may be reimplemented at a later time (although not compatible with WONnet or the original Windows version of Homeworld). | Homeworld SDL 0.1.1 (alpha) | new | Homeworld SDL |
