At present it is very incomplete. In the next few weeks I will be adding support for:

better game physics
instrument panel
time trial and arcade modes
LAN play
I'm looking for people who want to design tracks, particularly if they can suggest existing 3D modellers that we can use for this purpose. I estimate about 10% of the work involved in cloning Wipeout is the game engine and about 90% is track design.
BZ: People keep asking me if I know of any racing games for Linux. Here's your chance to jump in and help create one. XRacer 0.1 new

392 -1 1999-06-19 14:09:20 Category: Strategy
Description: The game is played by moving objects on the board and putting them into rows, columns, diagonals. Each time you create a line of the same objects ("kugels", balls...), the score will increment with the number of objects you accomplished to line up. In the same time, the lined up "kugels" will disappear, so you can continue the game with more maneuver space on the board. Any time you fail to create a line of "kugels", new ones will appear on the board. Once the board is full, the game is over. Kugel 1.7 new

394 2 1999-06-19 14:17:01 Gamecenter.com is running an article about Linux gaming that's worth a read if you don't have much to do this weekend. Despite a handful of factual errors, it's a decent non-technical overview of what's happening with Linux and games these days. Mostly, it's nice to see Linux games getting some mainstream attention.
Thanks, Sam Corder. Gamecetner.com article on Linux games default
