Won't that be fun?</i>" <p> The petition in question actually asks <a href="http://www.valvesoftware.com">Valve Software</a> for three things: <ul> <li>A native Linux port of Half-Life 2 <li>Public release of the Half-Life sourcecode <li>Initiation of a Linux Half-Life 2 preorder system so Valve may judge the demand for a Linux port </ul> I don't think we've ever seen a case where a developer has been persuaded to release a Linux version of a game based on a petition. The prospect of selling a few thousand extra games just isn't enough to justify the cost of a port. Instead, Linux ports seem to get produced because the developers are cool enough to realize it's the Right Thing To Do. <br> With that said, I still urge everyone to go sign this petition.
