369 212 1999-06-09 13:17:08 I saw on the LGDC mailing list that a project called FreeSCI is under way to create a Sierra SCI interpreter for Linux! The SCI engine, which is short for 'Sierra Creative Interpreter', was used on such Sierra games as Space Quest 3, Leisure Suit Larry 2 & 3, Quest for Glory and Hero's Quest.
The developers are working on the virtual machine right now, and promise that though the engine won't be ready for some time, when it is we should be able to run many of Sierra's adventures up to and including some 1998 games. Leisure Suit Larry on Linux..... Now there's a game. FreeSCI 0.2.0 default

371 2 1999-06-10 10:46:49 Chanodin.net is running a poll that asks the question Do you consider Linux to be a viable alternative gaming platform? Go tell them what you think. I spotted this at Blue's News. Poll: Is Linux a viable gaming platform? default

374 2 1999-06-11 10:05:44 It's time for more Game Tome love. This morning I randomly selected Pete Ratzlaff's entry from the list of this week's turnip hunters. Pete gets a copy of Quake II: Colossus for Linux. Who loves you, Pete?
So now there are just two more chances to get yourself on the receiving end of some happypenguin lovin'. Once again, I've stashed the turnip somewhere in the Tome. Find it, and you can enter to win Quake: The Offering next Friday, the 18th of June. Another happy turnip hunter! default
