Tenes Empanadas Graciela | games | -1 | Tenes Empanadas Grac | Very good!! 5-starts from me. Easy GUI, easy to setup. I want to be able to start networkgames from the client. Otherwise this looks good. | 2001-04-23 03:41:11 | 0
Tenes Empanadas Graciela | games | 4685 | Tenes Empanadas Grac | I like the rule modifications, it makes the game a bit more challenging than the real risk. Also, the AI is better (it seems) than that which comes with XFrisk (by default). But the interface has too many dialogues, very cumbersome. | 2001-04-23 18:59:48 | 0
BZFlag | games | -1 | BZFlag | This game rocks! My only complaint is that the only populated server I found was lagging a bit, but it varied for the 4 hours I was playing it (twas good sometimes) The graphics are great (k63-350, 256mb ram, v3/3000 = 30+fps at max detail) the sound is very good and the playability is just about endless (it seems). for a list of servers, check out:: http://www.wizards.de/~frank/bzfstats.html | 2001-04-24 01:39:29 | 0
Chromium B.S.U. | games | -1 | Chromium B.S.U. | very very good. i have never played a game on linux befor. only on windows and do. linux as far as i know ant too grate for games. but this just proves all of that rong. so added momentum to the ship would much improve the game play. well done to the developers. fiercedeity@email.com | 2001-04-24 09:33:26 | 0

Soldier of Fortune | games | 2642 | Soldier of Fortune | This game owns, seriously. The graphics are beautiful, and it's hard to believe this is all based on the Quake 2 engine. The sounds aren't quite as good as the graphics, they're kinda generic, and the agonizing screams aren't too convincing, but they don't detract from the game at least. <P>If you can stomach the violence levels in SoF, this is one hella fun game. The levels are varied and immersive, and a delight to explore. Plus the multiplayer is just delicious. Definitely try out the demo, and then go buy it. SoF is a must-have. | 2001-04-24 19:09:29 | 0
Arkanae | games | -1 | Arkanae | Yes, there is a bug in the launching script of Arkanae 0.3.1. It will run if you replace in the script (the script has just 1 line !) : java [...] with : java -Djava.library.path=.:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib:/usr/X11R6/lib [...] Thank you for playing Arkanae ! | 3484 | Arkanae | games | -1 | Arkanae | Fun game, however 3dFX + XFree86 3.X users be warned: requires very recent Mesa libs and does NOT have a way to exit your fullscreen playing. Once you start playing, you essentially have to find a way to get a terminal and manually kill the java process before you can get back to your X session. Most of the time you will just have to reset your computer (as in pressing your PC's reset button) | 2001-04-25 13:23:11 | 0
